He has never bothered about being on a pedestal or being respected. He has been point blank everytime. In fact he is uncomfortable with being hero worshipped or being placed on a pedestal and it evident bcz everytime someone appreciates him he clamps up puts up his walls.

He knows he is good but somehow he does not want people to see that in him. It makes him feel exposed and vulnerable. He feels like his secrets are out in the open. Today was the first time he wanted to willingly say something but they got interrupted.

Not saying that he pretending to be rude, coz he behaves well with everyone and he is a great professor but when it comes to personal relationships, he keeps himself guarded. As I said in another post, he has abandonment issues. One of the traits is controlling what happens around them. He wants to control things and suddenly Anokhi makes him spiral out of control by forcing him to address the issues he has tried to suppress within himself.

True Shaurya is one tough cookie to crack. May be pretense of not caring about how are are thought of is a defense mechanism. But at the same time her misunderstanding him rankles him. I don't get what explains that reaction other than he cares that she trusts him and her initial opinion about him.

The world is not black and white. It's gray. She needs to understand she can't idealize Astha too like she can't Shaurya. They are flawed humans and they can make mistakes too. You can love them too even if you don't agree with certain of their behavior traits. That will come with life experiences and maturity. People disappoint us. Can't expect them to behave like God.

Yeah I think that she needs to realize that there are many layers to a person. A part of me also thinks this is the fault of the writers because we have been receiving so much introspection by Shaurya but we haven't seen it on Anokhi's side even when I do think they are trying to hint that she is doing so. She tried to give him the benefit of the doubt when she said that she convinced herself that he just lashed out at Aastha in anger. And it seems she has accepted that he was worried about Aastha. She seems to swing between being disappointed and being hopeful and she wants him to give her a reason to think she was right that he is good. When she came out of the hospital room to see Shaurya still there, it almost seemed like she was hopeful that he'd prove her right and by apologizing, would vindicate himself to her again. But when he said no, she was back to blaming him. Hope we get a balance of her internal monologues showing her going back and forth between these two sides of Shaurya so that we can sympathize with her outbursts since it comes from a place of frustration that he isn't doing what she expects of him.

I think she placed him on a pedestal since she was introduced to him as a nationally and internationally recognised intellectual - her eyes shone with admiration as she looked at him that day. While there have been fluctuations in her perception of him, she still held on the first image of him in the back of her mind. That image could only be affected when the one who is higher on the pedestal was insulted in the worst possible manner. Like Anokhi, I do believe in seeing a person beyond their qualification and frankly, what she has seen is kind of ugly.

The initial blame game, the tum uss astha ki student ho, the bouquet throwing, shaurya's last words to his mom and leaving her in the riots undid the respect that she of him as a human being, but did not affect her admiration of him as a good prof.

When she thanked him for helping her and her sister, when she thanked him for helping her gather proof, it was Shaurya the human being that she was thanking. Of course, the masked professor did not want the credit.

She has seen the raw side of him and his pain, and has told him so. She's trying to figure him out - trying to tell herself that Shaurya, the human being, is as respectful as Shaurya the professor. She has conveyed that to him as well. Her interference has created a crack around his wall, and the real Shaurya has started to breathe again, but just as he has started to hold onto her hand, she's removed that lifeline. So, now he will crave for that.

He'll want to show her and have her acknowledged that she had been right about him - that its not only his eyes, but his entire soul is tormented. But, I don't think he'd want her to hero worship him - if anything, he'd want her to see beyond the mask of perfection that he carries around!

This post literally gave me goosebumps☺️ I never thought about it from this perspective. It's in very few instances where I like male lead more than female lead characters and this show is definitely one of them.

Shaurya has been putting lots of efforts lately for Anokhi, but they have never really explained any reason for him to be so concerned and attracted to her. But I think your post describes the reason for Shaurya to like Anokhi. Her logical opinion and analysis in the past to see through his toughness or exterior make up.

Story makes more sense now.

Superb analysis and loved reading each and everyone's reply. An angst was there from the time I watched today's episode seeing Shaurya going through the pain of losing that one human being who he has started opening up unknowingly. He fights with her, lashes out his anger, saves her and comforts her....all these are done only for some one you care. He has unknowingly started to care for Anokhi and it hurt him badly to think that she would think bad of him. The writers have given such an amazing male lead Shaurya & KV emotes it so well. Felt his pain today.

Three scenes stood out for me today - the frustration he felt when Anokhi said ACP helped her from the riots, his facial expressions when Anokhi said Aastha was found and the icing on the cake was rushing to hide away from Aastha but still watch her. The anguish and the happiness both beautifully expressed by KV. Hats off to him.

I have to give credit to Deb as well today. She didn't understand why Shaurya was getting irritated. She is young and doesn't seem to understand the effect she has had on Shaurya. She showed the confusions clearly of not understanding how he felt and what he was talking about. She is still the obedient student idolising Aastha and Shaurya whenever they are right. This student has a lot of learning to do but as Shaurya said, " look into my eyes and follow. I am a good teacher " 😀

True...with Shaurya's character we are getting monologues and so we connect to his character better. We don't get that reflection from Anokhi. Like her struggle of dealing with this world alone at such a young age. Her enjoying her new found freedom to study and live the life she wants to. The emotional issue and baggage she has due to being a witness to an abusive parent and being treated like a chattel. Why is she always rebellious or why is she so stubborn. Why is she always so insitant on her opinions being right. Because that's what she has always experienced. That you have to fight to make your words heard. You have to be firm stubborn and fight for the truth and rights of a woman because she has always seen her mother and sister getting insulted, beaten and wronged oppressed. She has only seen Men with extreme views. Either they are selfish wife beating misogynist or knight in shinning armors goody men like Vineet, monty raja and her father. Like She had always placed Shan then Shaurya and now ACP on pedestal and one tiny slip and you are back to her prejudiced view of Men.

True Shaurya feels comfortable showing around his carefree side to her. By dancing behaving like a petty child. His ugly side and anger. He is comfortable with that but Anokhi needs to be okay and comfortable with those sides too. Not the anger side by his caring side. During the riot scene she Jerked his hand away twice. She is not uncomfortable to his touch and finds it creepy or something but it's affecting her somehow. Like is she emotionally and mentally equipped to deal with a complex man like Shaurya with his complexities being emotionally damaged herself. I don't think so.

Yes till now i have only seen Shaurya Making an effort for her. Anokhi is kind of lost in her own baggage. She is not ready to equipped to read his mood or understand his layers as of now. That's why she instantly connected to a non complex Character like ACP. She doesn't find him complex. She doesn't have to question him "Aap aise kyun hein " because he is very expressive in front of her.

True she has a long way to reach the depth and emotional maturity to deal with someone like Shaurya. He is way too intense for someone like her. She has a long way to understand and reciprocate that level of intensity of feelings as Shaurya.

Learning to love him will also come with learning the different sides of SS.

I think she removed the hands because she became conscious. It started with the seatbelt scene and she definitely flipped there😆

Both of them have an ugly past and both of them would need to learn how to deal with the complexities together - that's what love is, nah. At this point, none of them are mentally equipped to tackle the emotional baggage that the other brings. But, they'll learn.

Of course, Shaurya may learn quicker given that he is more mature, but he'll have to hold her hand and walk her thru. It all.
