Love how you described this bit....especially the sand analogy....it's so bang on for Sumo....ek alag hi tarhaan ki vulnerability hai that she only seems to share in front of Shravan....I guess it stems out of a different kind of faith she has in him to be there for her....it's different from the faith she has in her family, her sister.

Yup she really be herself and have no apprehensions around him I guess at home she still has expectations to live upto even though her parents have been more on a friendlier side yet they had always kept her on a pedestal which doesn't allow her to be herself as such caz then they will be disappointed and she was somewhat living under pressure to live upto those expectations and standards without even realizing shravan liberated her and because shravan has no expectations never had all he wants is her saath jaise bhi she can totally let go of any inhibitions and be her naked self and share

I don't want to point fingers or stuff but would been lovely to see a small mother-daughter duo scene. Vijay's POV as a father is understandable but I wished for Anjali's side instead of having a much smaller role.

i get it that she's with vijay on this too and would obviously be against this idea as of now as a mother too since suman is really young and that's fine i just expected some motherly instinct from her who said being against her in this shravan ke saath pyar wala idea meant sh ecan't even try to calm her daughter down and show a bit of love towards her ortry to make her understand in mom's way but she was so extra not interested or impacted as if suman kisi aur ki hi aulad hai and that bothered me. i know they haven't shown them building any bond but phir bhi itna non effective to mommies hoti nahi hain when it's such a big deal . she didn;t talk to suman or even vijay too as if it really wasn't her child they were talking about and that i found odd. i mean even chachi has shown more concern for sumanin all this jaise bhi with her facial expressiosn than anjali

Aaj I rewatched yeh wala epi/scene and I was struck by the contrast.....back then, yeh play rehearsals ke beech mein bhi yeh dono emotional ho jaate the but they used to try to deflect then and change the topic....but look at them today😆

Yeh play rehearsals mein bhi kya bade bade dialogue maar rahe the ek dusre ko ki "Chaahe tum duniya mein kahin bhi raho, bas do baatein yaad rakhna....pehli ki tumhein laut kar mere paas waapis aana hai, aur dusri ki main apni aakhri saans tak tumhara intezaar karungi"....😆

LOL aur aaj dekho baccho ko itne bade bade vaade karte huye for real😆.....waise I guess they can't reuse these dialogues from the play since that also had to get scrapped in the pandemic adjustment, otherwise achha throwback hota for irony/angst.

Lol kook at suman being so carried away even then and still taking forever to realize ke shravan is more than just a neighbor to her 😆 takes me back to their tum awkward na ho jao conversations i mean iss sabke baad bhi they needed that before that dance 😆

@bold: Wonderful point....yes, somewhere Sumo was living under a sense of pressure to live up to the high expectations from her and Shravan somehow liberated her from that without even deliberately trying....all he wanted was her saath as you rightly pointed out....and simply being with him helped her let go of all that she generally repressed inside herself....he taught her to let go without even deliberately aiming for it....that is the amazing part.....he wanted Sumo exactly as she was and Sumo somehow became a happier person in the process simply by accepting this simple truth that his very presence in her life uplifts her.

Haha would be nice if they show it in FBs but I won't keep high hopes....they don't refer much to the pre-pandemic storylines other than the general buddy phase and Shravan ka realization of his feelings for her.

Sumo was always an emotional bacchi in Shravan's case aur tab bhi beh jaati thi....lol connection toh bahut pehle se tha but Brigadier Sumo thodi na maanti itni easily😆....aur tab toh Shravan bhi ghonchu tha busy chasing after Devika😆

yup that is the beauty. i esp love how neither of them wanted to change each other and even of sumo is now liberated and is a much happier and feels much lighter as she herself once said she didn't felt the need to change for shravan specifically or to mould herself into some other person. it happened in the flow and just opened her up more than she was and gave her wings. Just the flow of how this transition happened and how their was not an attepmt to dhalofy one in the mould makes it beautiful she never had these sharavan ke liye khud ko badlana hai type cringe thoughts caz their was no need for her and that is the difference caz otherwise sabse confident se confident ladki ko bhi is despo main badal dia jaata hai who has no self worth . suman knows her worth and holds her self respect high but not in preachy kitabi gyani way usko har waqt yeh bhashan dene ki zaroorat nahi padti
