Did Satya love Bulbul? *Spoilers* - Page 8

I don't see any romantic feelings from his side, Doctor's words about Bulbul being his "Everything" was just lazy writing IMO, the man put a bullet in her and didn't utter a word about killing the woman he loved, I believe they would have spent more time in romantic nature of this relationship but they didn't because it wasn't there, his perspective about life and his brother changed after Bulbul's death, it was more about growth of an individual rather than a romantic relationship

The way he looked at her, the way he got jealous of Sandip the doctor, how he was so into them writing their book together and that scene in the rain when he's leaving ~ made it seem like he loved her too but cared about the khandaan ki izzat too much.

Or was it just platonic?

I think he loved her. I mean they met as children and they had been of almost same age group and they grew up together. So he might love her.

Satya was unknowingly misogynistic, like his intentions/heart was in the right place but he was unfortunately conditioned by the society around him to be that way, thats why he left that city/place. Our surroundings forms our mindset a lot. Like Satya thought a woman can't kill the men and immediately thought it must be a guy and Bulbul says "aurat bhi toh ho sakti hai", he had this preconceived notions about women and lacked nuance.

Both him and Indraneil were products of the environment and had an ego!

Maybe a lil bit attracted but def not in love,Bulbul on the other hand loved him.

Okay I think he did like her in a romantic way, he looks pretty upset in this scene about leaving her and is forcing his smile.

Bulbbul and Satya really reminded me of Rabindranath Tagore and his sister in law Kadambini devi.The girl married off in early age found a companion in the same age devar and couldnt relate to the much older but supposedly tender cultured husband.Both the husbands having weird relationship with their sister in law las Jyotirindranath and Gyanodanandini were rumoured to hv an affair too. Neither Satya Bulbbul or Rabindrantah n Kadambini None of them ever acted on those feelings in all probability. Relationships were very complex that time and beyond our understanding at times now. As society was full of oppressive practices towards women most suffered n harboured feelings that noone knew of.

I've already said the same in one of my threads. Nostoneerh was inspired by Tagore and Kadamvari's real relationship. Bulbbul is heavily inspired by both the novel and the movie Charulata.
