My humble opinion after watching all the episodes at one go:

Maya Ali I am watching her first time. She is superb. The way she has gone from bubbly carefree, a girl who is from a happy family with her father’s protection to a completely miserable situation with terrible news of death and cancer within one week is commendable.

Zaviyaar is also very good. He is helpless but ready to be strong and fight the battle. A person who feels he should stand up to the situation life has thrown at them but can’t do so because of health. It is killing him to see that the sister has to arrange the money for his treatment somehow from somewhere. Bilal would have been the easiest option but he knows their family values. The sister will not agree to take a help, an amount which is beyond their repayment ability.

Wahaj Ali shows his class even in 2 minutes of screen presence.

Now comes to the charaters: it is an absolutely crazy situation to lose the father like that. I am talking from personal experience that losing a parent in a prolonged disease and losing them suddenly hits different. Sadaf could barely come close to believe that father is gone that she comes to know that brother is diagnosed with a terminal illness. Any normal sane person would behave abnormally. Can’t blame her. Her huge self esteem is not allowing her to take the money without bringing anything on the table. To offer herself to Bilal in return for his favor shows that she is not thinking it through. She is ready to do anything. The amount is so huge that she cannot say to deduct from her salary. Mirza Saab’s upbringing is not allowing her to beg for the money. What can she do in this situation ? She has put herself out for sale. Still not became a beggar. It is very difficult to comprehend how she should have reacted. Because this desperate times brings out the worst in our mind. There is not methodical or morally right way to react. A human being will do anything in those situations. There are lot of times when in this situation if the woman asks for money, the lender himself will resort to take advantage of her. Here she has offered herself because that is what she has. Brother’ health is of utmost importance here.

Lot of times I am thinking why didn’t she talk to Bilal more openly about their situation. But then, she doesn’t know him much. Mirza saab has not spoken about Bilal at home and also Sadaf must have guessed that her father doesn’t hold a very high opinion about Bilal. And also she is so open about her grief and Bilal takes care of the situation how will the makers go for next 25 episodes?

My only crib is the pace of the show. It’s kinda irritating. I wonder why Wahaj Ali didn’t ask for more screen time. He knows that he is the selling point.

if kadwani as a producer with this signature project wants trp , views then he has to show him or else he won’t get any of those. So it’s up to him what to do.

Let me tell you what happened . We messaged to The technical after 5th episode that bilal is not shown and is very less shown . They replied carelessly that not everyone can be shown because it has other actors also who share the screen space . We didn’t reply after that. Now this week before the episodes got message from them about honest feedback and whether we it reached our expectations or it’s average etc. we sent detailed feedback with first point wahaj giving two mins ss in episode who is lead of the show. Said very directly to them if you want trps, views you have to show him or else people are not going to watch it. Told about slow pace , dim lighting inside hotel or house scenes, problematic dialogues, leads didn’t meet yet even after six episodes how long people have to wait for their love story. They liked the message.

Just ask them when will bilsad story start and if zaviyar track is gonna be stretched till infinity. People are just holding on because of bilsad otherwise nobody gives a damn about this show or the other sideys.

It's clear now that it's the story of four protagonists not only Bilal and Sadaf . The promotions just used Wahaj and Maya to sell the show. Ammar and Humsha are equally important. Even Haseeb used to mention the name of these 4 actors when he used to post about the show.

But then in teasers we hear her saying ab main aapse nafrat nahi kartiWhy would she hate the man who gave her frigging 8 cr for her brother's treatment just like that.

That would be during separation track I think. She will leave him bcoz of some misunderstanding and will hate him.

But after sometime she will soften towards him again. And hence say ab main aapse nafrat nahi karti.

Also on the other hand Humsha will be filling Bilal's ears by reminding him again & again that sadaf still hates him- aapke upar se ab tak wo mail nahi utari

Kudos to them for acing the awkwardness so well. It actually feels so real that they're meeting for the first time ever.

SMD story summarised in a single frame

I didn't enjoy Wednesday's episode so mostly fast-forwarded it.

Coming to Thursday's episode, I actually enjoyed it a lot! For me, this was the strongest episodes so far when it comes to the leads & their relationship.

Nearly 7 episodes were invested in Sadaf's predicament, her family's condition & Zaviyar's illness. I guess it was mainly to prepare the audience for episode 8 where she goes ahead and decides to ask Bilal for the money & in return she was willing to do whatever he says. ...She did what she thought was the way to get the money on an immediate basis for her brother's treatment, she knew she won't be able to repay the loan soon nor did she want to seek Bilal's help, she asked for money in return for whatever Bilal wanted her to do, it was an exchange. Was it right or wrong is up for the audience to judge.

She had heard about Bilal & created an impression which made her think he would be willing to give her the money in return for her services...This shook Bilal to the core when he found out what Sadaf thinks of him!

Though she said she was willing to do whatever he wanted but through her body language it was clear that she was uncomfortable & scared. Maya did that part well.

I actually enjoyed the scene, the tension & angst were served really well. Since I have watched ITV shows & Katha was one of the shows which was really good but controversial. it was an official adaptation of a Turkish Drama...A young CEO offers money to his employee if she spends one night with him...The employee agrees, what the CEO doesn't know is that her son is suffering from a terminal illness and will die if she is unable to arrange for money...She hated the CEO for the offer while the CEO hated her for accepting his offer. They spent a night together...and eventually down the line both fell in love with each other....So, SMD's this scene seemed very sanitized in comparison

Wahaj absolutely killed it tbh! He was so good...He conveyed Bilal's emotions in a very impactful manner...Wahaj needs scope to perform and manages to shine every single time. This scene was an example.

Going forward, I hope we get to see more of Bilal & his side of the story
