Who makes for a romantic lead or not is so subjective. Haven’t seen her in a full fledge romantic lead role yet (and this show won’t be one either, she looks to have a supporting role), but I do know she’s delivered in all her recent mainstream roles.

From college gate, only her and Shuja Asad have shown potential. They’ve both tried some different type of roles and honed their skills. Kafi farq para hai imo

In JSPJ she is playing the FL who is married to the ML .. they had many moments as a couple . Sadly their romance didn't crack. I felt something was missing. Maybe it is intended, because of the differences in their personalities.

Yep the story is not that sort. They had so many differences from the get go, there’s incompatibility, age difference, maturity level. Kafi kuch. She played an extremely badtameez immature girl who loses her temper easily and has ego problems. It took her forever to grow. I literally went from hating her to bits to adoring her eventually. The romance in the show is just awkward generally and i would call it more a family drama than a romantic drama. But regardless she fit the role well and sold it. Not easy to be up against actors like Zahid and having to match their craft

I agree. It is tough to match these experienced actors, plus her character is different from those of FLs. And there's also Hira Mani who is playing the other FL. And comparisons are ought to happen. So Mamya stood her ground, no doubt.
