That scene was so domestic actually. He is sleeping and Sitara is just going about the room doing her own things. And just imagine randomly Sahiba walks into what is now a couple's bedroom. Salar's reaction is justified. He was panicking about Sitara walking in but he was also pretty disturbed to see his (and Sitara's) now conjugal boundaries being violated just like that. Really what Salar said regarding Sahiba is true. That she is ill mannered. Even Mehreen didn't give her permission to see Salar and just instructed the maid to close the door when she goes. That should have been the clue for Sahiba to leave, but noooo.....Madam ke zehan mein to tameez naam ki koi cheez ka wajud hi nahi hai.
Hello
How are you?
Is everything fine?

if you remember junaid sitara convo , she said what is the point if a woman cannot even protect her husband .. but Junaid said its husband's duty to protect his wife not vice versa
She told Junaid before that that Salar is worried. And that her poverty became his flaw, and that ppl taunt him. For this she wants to protect him.
You said it right. Sitara thinks that she is a burden on Salar, and that she isn't worthy of becoming his wife . For this he'll leave her sooner or later. She is only his Zid.. and once his zid is fulfilled he'll divorce her.
Hello Pressu. How are you? I am fine and my grandfather is doing OK now. Not 100% well but definitely stable right now. Still hospitalised and consequently it has been a hectic week. Hopefully he will return home soon. I am just going to catch up on the past week's episodes tonight. I am going to skip through flashbacks so that I do not waste time.

I do think that there is a deeper layer to it. It is not just about zid or whatever she had heard or perceives things as. I believe that she feels that she is not lovable. Like a thing that just does not inspire any kind of love. It is not that she does not believe that she is worthy of Salar's love or becoming his life partner but that his attachment to her or care for her will eventually run out sooner or later. It is not just that he may divorce her. Salar can take on a second wife without divorcing Sitara and keep caring for her out of duty and I think a scenario like that scares her even more than being abandoned or divorced. She wants to not only loved but cherished. She is like an wounded animal right now. One that has gone through a lot. The unfortunate part is that the circumstances they are in means that even if Salar showers her with genuine love, care and affection, she is unable to stop second guessing the "real" reasons or motivations behind his actions. She can feel that he cares for her, deeply so. But is that enough for her? I do not think so. One thing regarding Sitara was that she wanted to be not just loved but cherished. To be swept off her feet and cared for as though she was the most precious thing in the world to that person. This is so sad that Salar wants to do that and is trying to do that but the long shadow of some of his own actions has cast these barriers down onto her heart.
how beautifully you explained it .. That's exactly what i meant in my previous post ...Originally posted by: roopshas1

if you've noticed , sitara has started speaking with Salar normally after that food faisco only.. like how she can support salar in hard times and she is feeling needed ...
She was comfortable with Salar in Hyderabad coz he used to appreciate all the small efforts made by her like coffee , blanket ... but after marriage she has realised that he doesn't need all this from her and she has nothing to give him in return ..

Yes Sitara wants to be loved and cherished and also she wants someone who can take a stand for her, which is y she was so shattered when she came to know Zohaib stood up for Kiran, but never for her.
I like how Sitara is opening up to Salar and letting him in on her apprehensions and insecurity and Salar then takes step to ease her grievances.

Thank you so much. Also, on this note of what you said, I also think that Sitara perceives her own worth by the value or rather more accurately utility that she can bring to that person. It is just the flip side of her desire to be cherished. Sitara's own worth or value to her family had always been tied to what she can bring to the table, whether it was her domestic skills, her share of property or her her ability to bear the emotional workload of the family. Unfortunately, not once had she been cherished the way unconditionally. That she herself, without anything like dowry or share of property or skills, is worth any love. This is again so unfortunate because unconsciously she is aware the only her utility brings her affection from her loved ones and thus, her desire to be cherished unconditionally is both a consequence as well as the flip side of that. The more I see this, the more it is obvious that Sitara is an emotional and verbal abuse survivor and behaves exactly like that.
You are so right on about the food fiasco. Also, food is one of the those points that hits her deep. Her family had intentionally or unintentionally deprived of something so basic but so full of love that is food. Food actually speaks a lot because a hot meal can say a lot more than a thousand words. The fact that Salar knew about this (Sitara's own embarrassed deflections in Hyderabad not withstanding) and is going out of his way to ensure that she is fed and goes to sleep on a full stomach also hits her hard. It is like Salar is fixing a part of her that is so basic for survival but had been mangled by her own family and continues to be mangled by his own. It is something that really touches deep in her heart and soul.
P.S. I was watching those parts of the episode where Mehreen was screeching about the grocery list and my god, I was like this woman is a liar and a psycho who knows no boundaries. Like the grocery list was in their bedroom, her own son calls her out on her lies and even her husband, her mother and even now step-daughter's admonishments are not stopping her. This is not a case of mera raja beta. This is just straight up a case of a mean girl becoming the MIL.
I have two questions to Pakistani people out here. Genuinely curious.
1. One thing I have noticed a lot is regarding female mobility in the show. Like a lot of people in the show raise a lot of concerns when young women are moving about alone in the city. At late night I can understand, sort of, even in India. But this is in Karachi. Like can women not hail Uber or its equivalent in Karachi or Pakistan at late night like when Sitara needed to be dropped by Qasim? I have noticed this even in some other PTV dramas too. Also, why can't she take a scooty or like to her college or to move around? Is it not common in Pakistan? Why does she have to wait around for her brother? Also, if she can use auto-rikshaws, why is it a big deal for her brother to pick her up and not just let her use use auto-rickshaws regularly? Like she can move around on her own, right? What about buses or other public transport? This is not to point out what seems to be a cultural difference. Like it sticks out as a sore thumb to me because women owning scooties and moving about on their own are so normal out here in India. I have noticed this lack of scooties in other PTV dramas as well.
2. What are your inheritance laws in regards to women? Like it is 50-50 regardless of gender like in India or like does Salar get 2/3rds of Tahir's entire estates and Saba gets only 1/3rd? Again genuine curiosity. It sounds so absurd to me that Tahir is not pressurizing Saba to join his business despite her having an MBA and topping it but is instead after Salar who is not interested and himself said that he does not really understand economics. It makes me wonder regarding their gender and whether that has an effect on how their rights to inheritance dictates their role in their father's company and that is why Tahir who is otherwise liberal is after Salar and not Saba.
