He’ll burn the world for her…
She’ll freeze it to the ground…
Naushervan Ghaznavi is sure he does not have a heart. He lost his years ago when tragedy struck his family, leading him to take responsibilities in ways he could have not imagined. Ever. A loveless marriage, a mere alliance to keep everyone around him happy while it killed him completely from within. The broken face of his ex-girlfriend, Farah haunts him to this day.
If that was not enough, his wife a.k.a his former sister-in-law keeps making moves on him. Naturally, she fails miserably.
Dua Aslam strives to fight societal pressures and stereotypes but its not an easy journey knowing her family. She has wanted to escape for years. However, she is not smart enough for this messed up world.
When Naushervan spots Dua at a wedding looking like an angel descended from the heavens, he is instantly smitten. Something warm stirs within him. To his surprise, it was his heart, waking up from a deep slumber, nudging at him, indicating what it wanted. It did not take long for Naushervan to realise he was utterly and hopelessly in love with the girl who was dancing her heart out and had no idea he existed.
Dua, on the other hand, had experienced her first flutters in her heart when a seemingly kind and simple man, Faraz meets her. He comes from a similar middle class background and has vowed to marry her soon. Knowing that Faraz’s wedding date has been set (red flag!), Dua agrees to sneak away on the day of her sister, Fiza’s wedding to meet Faraz’s mother.
Seems innocent? Think again.
Faraz takes a clueless Dua to a brothel, drugs her and is about to do the unthinkable when he has to rush back home for his wedding…with none other than Fiza! Unfortunately for this psychopath, he does not know that his “girlfriend” and wife were related up till the next morning.
Dua regains consciousness and is broken when she finds out Faraz had sold her to the brothel. A police raid and a night in prison later, she struggles on the road, having been disowned by her father and her so-called friend. Meanwhile Naushervan has been losing his mind trying to find the whereabouts of his lady love, knowing deep down in his heart that this was his last chance at happiness.
While Dua’s bad luck streak continues and she ends up at a high class escort service. But she had no clue happiness was just round the corner.
Fate brings Naushervan and Dua face to face at a nightclub. She leaves wordlessly, but that one encounter was enough for him to track her down. Without any hesitation, Naushervan proposes to Dua. It also turns out to be the only way he would be able to get her out of that world, knowing Dua had no idea he did not look at her as a mere object of desire.
A bunch of hurdles later, the couple finally weds and Dua officially takes up Naushervan’s last name. As they begin to fall in love, the conspiracies to separate the two increase. But they are both hopelessly devoted and utterly committed to each other, so much so that it would not take them a second to sacrifice their lives for one another.
