But someone said the guy interviewing Wahaj was involved with MPHT. And when he asked the question Wahaj said something to the interviewer about him being involved and he knows what was shot and the interviewer was being Chalu by asking him this question so wondering if it was MPHT that he was talking about.

Precisely b/c Siraj didn’t have a good handle or care to, about Meerab’s FL character, Yumna could have made some more changes or tried to. Perhaps this is why several senior actresses were saying that Yumna could have improved things … but she didn’t as she just follows the director. As much as I didn’t like the aunties’ public comments and find them obnoxious, I do feel that maybe there is a little something behind their comments that’s not just hate and jealousy. The Maryam actress said that Yumna helps improve the romance scenes though. Yet, even during the Talk Talk show, Wahaj said himself that Yumna picks good scripts, but Wahaj is the one that changes them to make them better. So, I don’t know… I feel that perhaps Yumna could have done some more here as well. Yumna is superb superb actress and did a tremendous job in most scenes!!! Yet, I do feel there are some spots where she could have done a better job 🤷‍♀️ I agree with Nadia Jamil that we still haven’t seen her full capabilities. I noted that in her comments, she didn’t include TB as one of the dramas that allowed Yumna to shine which tells me something. Yumna herself said it was really hard for her to play Meerab, even though she probably did a better job than anybody else. So I feel that the delivery of Meerab’s perspectives and issues could have been better from both the director and Meerab’s joint effort. Maybe it isn’t her style to make changes, but I think here it would have been helpful.

I felt the same way until I watched that clip of Hiba Bukhari. It was a revelation. He doesn’t understand women or their issues. He’s biased. I’m sure his bias caused a lot of confusion in the show wrt to Meerab. Meerab’s issues are real issues, but they weren’t delivered well.

I’m blaming Siraj as well here. They both deserve credit for TB’s success because they did write good scenes and direct them beautifully. But they both are at fault for its flaws as well. Both have failed in their departments from writing to executing.

When directors aren’t clear about the characters’ thoughts, then they can’t direct them well. They need to understand their characters trials and issues. Siraj and NM had different takes on scenes and characters. There’s lack of good communication in the team.

Add to that, Siraj’s bias. And he seems to be a lot about perspectives as well, leaving things to viewers’ interpretation. It’s a good thing, but these things need to have substantial backing with dialogues too. Perspectives must not take viewers to extreme opposite directions.

I'm not defending anyone. I even add kaddu uncle and ph, creatives in the mix. Everyone has their part in this mess. Sab apna apna dekh rahe the.

I agree with you. Yumna is in a position to make changes, at least things like the slap and spit. Yumna has been careless in styling too. 😳

But about the story and giving perspectives or leaving things vague, I think shaping the story and its presentation is the director’s call. We can see the choose your perspective with MK in the last 10-15 epis too.

I agree with you. I even think both were bring so lenient towards the last installment. They stopped making changes or didn't have the mind to interfere and let the director dictate them without focusing on the script part. That's why the end episodes looks so different from the initial ones.

Agree with you. I feel, if senior actors are saying something, there might be some reason. Bcz they know how ptv works and think here actors have to put more efforts and make few changes and additions. Like someone mentioned, I agree that the styling of Mee also could have been better bcz I didn't like it most of the time
