My thoughts on MeerabâŠ
I feel like she was starting to give into her feelings slightly and then she thinks she sees Rohail at the fair (or whatever itâs called). It reminds her of her past life that she left behind - her independence, her ambitions. She backs off a bit here. She starts coming around again and this Mariam thing happens reminding her again of her forced marriage. She is so against how she was treated, she is unable to see things any other way. She kind of loses her common sense as well because I feel like it all becomes a bit personal for her. She makes it a mission that no one else in the family should go through what she went through. She even tried to help Haya when she realized she didnât want to marry Nouraiz. I think for Meerab it becomes a matter or principle that she doesnât want to compromise on. Her commitment to helping Mariam becomes so important to her that she makes it a priority over Murtasim. He had begged her repeatedly to not bring Mariam between them and revealed his most vulnerable side to her asking her to take care of him. She obviously felt for him but her cause of helping Mariam took precedence over Murtasim. This broke him and his trust in her.
Staying away from him, she starts missing him but still doesnât completely have faith in his love. She thinks itâs just infatuation and doesnât understand why he upset with her if he truly loves her. She begins to admit that she likes being around him and goes back when MB calls her back.
She has trust issues with Murtasim because her insecurities regarding Haya were never really taken care of. Plus Murtasim lost further faith in Meerab after seeing her with Rohail. He isnât trying super hard with her like he usually is which is probably adding to her insecurity especially now that she has acknowledged to herself of having some feelings for him. Catching him with Haya just made her go over the edge. At that moment, in the heat of it, she assumes the worst of him and completely goes after his entire character and of course slaps and spits on him. After the doors close obviously some ugly words were exchanged. Meerab feels insecure and vulnerable and in a moment of weakness, gives in and does the deed. She feels instant regret and feels like she lost her self respect. How could she lose herself after holding on for so long with a guy she didnât have any faith in?
Having distance away from Murtasim is making her miss him and appreciate everything he did for her but sheâs still in conflict. Her heart and mind arenât in sync at the moment. Sheâs having an internal struggle which she needs to resolve before completely accepting Murtasim.
