“What the??”one of the girls from the crowd murmured under her breath as she witnessed a dozen of black Cadillac Escalades screeched to a stop right in front of the path of red roses… the 25 acre palace was adorned with countless number of golden and white LED fairy lights, bestowing to the heart of the castle for her big day…. Tightening her grip on the decorated golden plate of roses, she watched in awe as some men in black suits with arms escorting an elderly and a young men towards the entrance….The window from the 2nd floor hallway did not allow her for a clear view of the side to take a peek at the young man who was busy on his phone…. thanks to the light sand decoration pieces….

Haya Ahmed ran into the bride's room, catching a breath, she whispered to the bride, her cousin…. "Something worse is going to happen, Meerab"....

Closing her eyes, Meerab deeply sighed as she rested her head back against the chair while pulling the veil in the front to cover her face …not ready to show that cursed beauty anymore.... wishing for the end of this dilemma …. “Please kill me” she took a deep sigh of self-pity...

“Where is Maryam?” Shahnawaz Khan questioned as he sat across Anwar crossing his right leg over the other, trying to keep his rage under control. “This is not the time” Anwar replied…. “Do you think I care?” Shahnawaz retorted back…the entire hall room with over a thousand guests became silent ….. “Listen, She is not your daughter only now, she has become the daughter-in-law of Gulzar Family…. ”,Anwar lowered his voice as he tried to keep the situation under control until the Nikaah was completed and his daughter was out of his sight….he was not willing to take any chance to ruin his plan for tonight at any cost….

She was jolted out of her thoughts by the sudden gunshot…. “...Baba…”Meerab broke into tears as she held up her lehenga and rushed towards the main hall room… Haya and Anila followed after her …

“Relax!”...Shahnawaz tried to calm him down, taking away the gun from Murtasim’s hand, who tried to kill Anwar a while ago… “It’s your sister’s home now”.... Murtasim closed his eyes taking a deep breath trying hard not to kill every single person present there…. the LAST one on the planet he would ever want to keep any relation with was Gulzar family …. thanks to his sister …. If only he could kill Maryam, his only beloved little stupid sister ….

“Baba”, Meerab ran to her father and sat by his feet …. “Are you okay, Baba?” she softly cried under the veil …. “Don't worry dear, he will be fine…. only if you marry my son, tonight” announced by Shahnawaz, leaving the entire hall in utter horror including Meerab and Murtasim ….

“I am not dreaming, right Ammi?” Haya wanted confirmation from his mom…. “No, you aren’t” Anila lost in the blank space… “Well, atleast she is not married to Rohail… the guy was a hypocrite. '' Haya shrugged off, tried to console herself …. “Screw Rohail… I am thinking of something else.” Anila dismissed the Rohail chapter….Haya looked at her mom, confused before it hit her tube-light brain ….. “Oh dear! What if she tries again?” Haya stated her mom’s fear as both mother-daughter looked at each other with concern for the girl they cared about….

The worst night of his life…. the sudden turn of event changed his life in a fraction of second… thanks to his father’s nonsensical decision…. life is so damn unpredictable…. he hated to admit it as until now he believed he had full control over his life…. turned out, it was never the case…. not anymore! ....he needed answers for this injustice with him…. Murtasim banged his left hand against the car door before resting his elbow on it as he squeezed his lower lip in between his fingers, looking out of the window…. completely ignoring his bride, sitting next to him ….
Looking out of the window, she half smiled at the dark sky under the transparent veil, sympathizing with the mockery of the moon at her destiny… “finally, my life is officially screwed!... Are you happy??” Meerab took a deep sigh of failure, when a tear escaped the corner of her eye …
