The first instance of her son coming home was the imagination. The second where the son n father come home is real. There is no complete cure for schizophrenia. Some people are able completely rid themselves of symptoms like hallucinations with help of medications, while others are not. Key to it is catching schizophrenia early on. So she still suffers from it. Part of it is learning to live with it. Like how, when she saw them come home again, she didn’t react like she used to before.
