'Joag' definitely does come from the same root as 'Jogi'. As in a jogi is a person who attains joag. However, I think jogi has more been about being a recluse/removing yourself from society/living alone rather than obsession/madness or the typical malang behaviour that comes to mind when you talk about jogis.

That makes sense with what Sonya herself said in her post. She talked about avoiding relationships and being alone.

ya true jogi means someone who has given up worldly pleasures and is reclusive .That is what traditionally jog means but their choice of spelling is making me confused..they should have stuck with jog , it is same confusion like thays...i mean what was wrong with calling it thes...

They are all about one guy obsessed with a girl and ready to do anything to get her. Muqaddar, Deewangi, Meherposh, Kahin Deep Jalay

Maybe raaz e ulfat will also become like that

Pata nahi, ye to dekhna parega.

I don't know a lot about it, but I think schizophrenia is mostly genetic, magar symptoms start showing in your late teens to twenties.

So maybe she's in love with him and things are going fine but then her symptoms start showing and how they deal with that.

Depending on how they deal with the illness, this drama could be quite scary. A lot of times I think schizophrenics get the 'jin charh gaya' diagnosis too.
