Mannat 24-26
So, I actually missed more than just 1.
A lot happened the last couple of weeks and finally the story has progressed. First of all, is it ok to give constructive criticism? If no, let me know and I will delete/edit or you can delete it.
I feel that this show could've been much more effective if it was handled a little differently. It's been overdramatized to some extent in my opinion. I think that subtlety would have had a stronger impact.
I do appreciate the fact that this drama has raised some issues that concern us directly. Honor killings, child selling which could lead to human trafficking are still prevalent in our societies and need to be brought up at every single opportunity available.
Coming to the latest episode, why is mannat locked up in the dungeon? I don't understand what purpose it would serve anyone. Btw, just wondering are there any bathrooms there? Honestly, the most hilarious (at least for me) was when mehru khala announced mannat is pregnant. Like, the only cause of syncope is pregnancy, and they had a urine pregnancy testing strip available in the dungeon lol. Unless, she is really not...
I actually do like the story line so far. My favorite scene was the one when nigar meets meerama the first time, the truth was out, the conversation between the two, and thankfully it wasn't exaggerated. It was just the right amount of emotions. Sami you were the best in the last scene; portraying the emotions of betrayal, hurt, pain, uncertainty, love, hatred all simultaneously without overdoing it. Yes, the last scene was a delight to watch (minus gulnaz.. Abby you reading this? ). I truly have no sympathy for gulnaz. She turned the whole ordeal about herself and what she wants without considering what dilnawaz might be going through. Although I have to admit that Uzma Hassan is fantastic as gulnaz (Abby are you happy now?).
Was there no trust between dilnawaz and mannat? People do have relationships before marriage sometimes but that doesn't mean a thing. Men generally do have a tendency to be skeptical and suspicious more than women (its human nature I think) and even the best of human being can fall prey to this (our prophet SAW did too when Aisha RA was slandered). we could've forgiven dilnawaz for mistrusting mannat but his crime was marrying gulnaz in haste.
