Anuradha Paudwal (born 27 October 1954) is an Indian playback singer and politician who works predominantly in Hindi cinema.
She was born in as Alka Nadkarni in marathi speaking family.She has been described in media as one of the most prominent Bhajan singers[6] and also as one of the most successful playback singers of 80s and 90s era of Bollywood. The recipient of several accolades including a National Film Award, four Filmfare Awards (winning consecutively during 1990–92) and two Odisha State Film Awards, she has been honoured by the Government of India with the Padma Shri, the country's fourth-highest civilian honour for her contribution in the field of arts. Her contribution in Indian devotional music and Bollywood Industry gained her the titles such as "Bhajan Queen", "Melody Queen".
obtained popularity from her song Tu Mera Janu Hai along with Manhar Udhas in film Hero. She had been asked to 'dub' this song for the actual singer - Lata Mangeshkar. Later Lataji was to have sung the song for the actual recording. But when music director duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal heard Anuradha's version, they determined that since the movie had an actress, Meenakshi Seshadri, making her debut, it was only appropriate that the song should also be sung by a fresh voice. After that in mid-80s, she sang along with Mohammed Aziz, and this duo was highly liked by public. It was at this time that Anuradha Paudwal started to climb the ladder of success.[24] After that she sang songs with established singers of that time and worked with many music composers. At that time she met Nadeem–Shravan who were struggling at that time. She listened to some of their songs and asked them to compose music for her. They composed 23 songs which were sung by her along with Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, Abhijeet Bhattacharya, Babla Mehta among others. Ten songs out of them are to be released as Chahat album, which were later released as film songs in Aashiqui movie in 1990.[25]
When music of the film Aashiqui was released, it became popular in no time. It established Anuradha Paudwal as a successful playback singer. After that Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, and Sadak were released in 1991, which were also immensely successful. Several other albums release at that time made her an established singer and she was often given preference over Mangeshkar sisters.[26] When she was at the peak of her career, she decided to sing exclusively for T-Series. And after this her immensely successful Bollywood career started falling slowly and other female playback singers like Alka Yagnik, Kavita Krishnamurti and Sadhana Sargam came into prominence.

Today is 28th Octomber Birth Annivarsary of Popular Lyricist Anjaan ( lyricist Sameer 's Father )
Lalji Pandey (28 October 1930 – 3 September 1997), better known by the pen name of Anjaan, was an Indian lyricist known for his work in Hindi language films. Having penned over 1,500 songs for more than 300 films, he is remembered for tracks from his frequent collaborations with composers Kalyanji–Anandji, Laxmikant-Pyarelal, R. D. Burman and Bappi Lahiri. Lyricist Sameer is his son.[1][2]
After this he remained fairly busy, but in small films. His only popular number was "Mat Poonch Mera Hai Mera Kaun Watan" (Lambe Haath) with music by G. S. Kohli, with whom he did many small films. He was first noticed for his work with the Raaj Kumar film Godaan, based on the Premchand classic, with music by Ravi Shankar. This film got him a few good assignments in the mid-1960s with big composers like O. P. Nayyar ("Aap Ke Haseen Rukh") in Guru Dutt's Baharen Phir Bhi Aayengi and G. P. Sippy's Bandhan, which established him commercially with "Bina Badraa Ke Bijuriya Kaise Barse". This also saw the forging with fellow lyricist Indeevar and composers Kalyanji-Anandji. This was followed by songs in Kalyanji - Anandji's Kab? Kyon? Aur Kahan?. Shankar - Jaikishan's Umang, Rivaaj and Ek Nari Ek Brahmachari, Ravi's Vandana ("Aap Ki Inaayat Aap Ke Karam"), R. D. Burman's Hungama ('Wah Ri Kismat', 'Suraj Se Jo Kiran Ka Naata' which was the first ever song filmed on Zeenat Aman) and a few other films.[3]
And yet it took Anjaan many more years before he emerged as a very prolific writer who amalgamated a lot of his commercial songs with lyricism and poetry. He was at his best in the Amitabh Bachchan films of Kalyanji Anandji, beginning with Do Anjaane ("Luk Chhip Luk Chhip Jao Na") in 1976.
Followed Hera Pheri ("Barson Purana Yeh Yaarana"), Khoon Pasina ("Title Song" and "Bani Rahe Jodi Raja Rani Ki"), Muqaddar Ka Sikandar ("Rote Hue Aate Hain Sab", "O Saathi Re", "Pyar Zindagi Hai", "Dil To Hai Dil"), Don with his biggest hit of the career "Khaike Paan Banaras Wala", ("Ee Hai Bambai Nagariya", "Jiska Mujhe Tha Intezaar"), Lawaaris ("Jiska Koi Nahin", "Kab Ke Bichhde") and Jaadugar. He also wrote hits for Bachchan with other composers like Rajesh Roshan (Do Aur Do Paanch, Yaarana), Bappi Lahiri (Namak Halaal, Sharaabi) and R. D. Burman (Mahaan). His liaison with Prakash Mehra also yielded hits like Zindagi Ek Juaa, Dalaal and other films like Jwalamukhi, Ghunghroo, Mohabbat Ke Dushman, Muqaddar Ka Faisla, Imaandaar, Chameli Ki Shaadi and Himalay Se Ooncha.
the 1980s, he even emerged as the writers of choice for Mithun Chakravarty's films like Disco Dancer and Dance Dance and struck a gold mine in the films of Bappi Lahiri, Shibu Mitra and B. Subhash. Among his hits with them were the songs of Aandhi Toofan, Ilzaam, Aag Hi Aag, Paap Ki Duniya and Tarzan.
His work with others was almost schizophrenically different, with songs like R. D. Burman's "Yeh Faasle Yeh Duriyan" (Zameen Aasman), "Laagi Lag Jaaye Logon" (Poonam / Anu Malik), "Ganga Mein Dooba" (Apne Rang Hazaar), ‘Meri Saanson Ko Jo’, "Na Jaane Kaise" and "Woh Woh Na Rahe" (Badaltey Rishtey, "Hamrahi Mere Humrahi" (Do Dilon Ki Daastaan), ‘Yashoda Ka Nandlala (Sanjog), ‘Sadiyan Beet Gayi’ (Triveni) and the beautiful songs of Eeshwar (all these films were with Laxmikant–Pyarelal showing a poetic vein). Another major hit was Anu Malik's breakthrough film Ek Jaan Hain Hum.
His health suffered a major setback in the early 1990s, though he delivered hits with Zindagi Ek Juaa, Dalaal, Ghayal and the 1990 chartbuster "Gori Hain Kalaiyan" (Aaj Ka Arjun) and his last hit Shola Aur Shabnam (1992). His other films in the 1990s included Vishnu Devaa, Parakrami, Insaniyat, Police Aur Mujrim, First Love Letter, Aandhiyaan, Phool Bane Angaarey and others.
Anjaan was a very successful all-rounder for almost 20 years in Hindi films, but his poetry still had the colour of Bhojpuri language and the ethos and culture of Uttar Pradesh, the citadel of Hindi. This is why, says Sameer. he could write "Khaike Paan", "Bina Badra Ke Bijuriya" and similar songs with great skill. His own favourites were his songs from Apne Rang Hazaar and Badaltey Rishtey and "Maano To Main Ganga Maa Hoon Maano To Behta Paani" and "Chal Musafir" from Ganga Ki Saugandh. A few months before his death on 13 September 1997, his only book of poems, Ganga Tath Ka Banjara (A Gypsy from the Shores of the Ganges) was released at the hands of Amitabh Bachchan.

He did stage shows as a singer with R. D. Burman in his starting career. He has sung for Bollywood actors Mithun Chakrabarty, Vijay Anand, Sunil Shetty, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Deol, Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor, Chandrachur Singh, Bobby Deol, Jitendra Kumar and Jimmy Shergill.[2] He hasqq been deeply influenced by the singer Kishore Kumar.[3] His career started with Baaghi: A Rebel for Love.The songs were Chandni raat ha etc became his first massive hit composed by Anand-Milind then, in 1992 came Khiladi where he sang songs wada raha sanam, khudko kya samjhti ha, kya khabar thi jana composed by Jatin-Lalit following this he gave many massive hits in the 90's .
His 2000s career included Red Chillies Entertainment's first film Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Dhadkan, Josh, Asoka. Following with Dhoom's Dilbara ,Gangster's Lamha Lamha ,Joru Ka Ghulam with Sunidhi Chauhan, Om Shanti Om's Dhoom Tana Na with Shreya Ghoshal. Later he sang for Ranbir Kapoor in film Besharam. The song was Dil ka jo haal hai with Shreya Ghoshal. In May 2019, Abhijeet Released Chakde Fatte which is the Cricket World Cup Song for 2019. The song was well appreciated by listeners. Many of his iconic songs are now being remade by new age composers, such as Tan Tana Tan from Judwaa 2, Ole Ole from Jawani Janeman where the actor was himself Saif Ali Khan, Mai Khiladi Tu Anadi from Selfiee, Husnn Hai Suhana from Coolie No. 1, Sheher Ki Ladki from Khandaani Shafakhana and many more in the list. His Salman Khan duo famous song Chunnri Chunnri was recreated by famous South Korea band BTS in 2020 and it became very famous in reels from Instagram. In 2020 his first released song came for the Movie Shukranu, a 70s feel like song "Khwaab hai ya haqeqaat" duet with Indian Idol fame Krishnakali Saha released from Zee Music Company. In September 2021 Abhijeet is judged 'Sangeet er Moha Juddho', a reality show airing on Colours Bangla Channel along with other judges Jeet Ganguli, Ustad Rashid Khan.
He did his powerful comeback in 2024 with the song Thame Dil Ko in the season 3 of popular web series Panchayat released in Amazon Prime. Abhijeet came back in Bengali Movie song Top Chart again with 2024 Mithun Chakraborty starrer Shastri (2024 film) song Dhangkurakur Taak, This Pujo song is a massive hit prior to Puja festival release in Kolkata.
Abhijeet had sung multiple hit duet chartbusters with singers Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Neerja Pandit, K.S.Chithra, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Anuradha Paudwal, Alka Yagnik, Sadhana Sargam, Chandana Dixit, Sapna Mukherjee, Poornima, Hema Sardesai, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shreya Ghoshal, Akriti Kakkar, Jaspinder Narula, Mahalaxmi Iyer and others. Vinod Mehra (death 30 October 1990) was an Indian actor in Hindi films. He started out as a child actor in the mid 1950s before starting his film career as an adult in 1971. He acted in over 100 films from the 1970s through to his death at the age of 45 in 1990. He was also the producer and director of the film Gurudev which was released 3 years after his death.
Mehra was close to Rekha during the mid-70s. Indeed, they were widely believed to have been married, but in a 2004 television interview with Simi Garewal, Rekha denied having ever been married to him, and referred to him affectionately as a well-wisher (but in Rekha's unofficial biography The Untold Story by Yasser Usman, it is mentioned that Vinod Mehra, Rekha's rumoured husband, took her to his house in Bombay, after getting married in Calcutta, and Vinod's mother pushed the actress away when the latter tried to touch her feet)." Mehra's first marriage to Meena Broca was arranged by his mother. The marriage was reportedly not consummated as Vinod had a heart attack shortly after the marriage. After he recovered, he eloped with his frequent leading lady of the time, Bindiya Goswami. Meena was left with no choice but to file for divorce. Mehra's relationship with Bindiya unraveled quickly, and she soon left him to marry director J. P. Dutta. In 1988, Mehra married Kiran, daughter of a Kenya-based transport businessman. The marriage lasted until his death two years later and produced two children: a daughter named Soniya (born in 1988) and a son named Rohan (born posthumously). Mehra died of a heart attack on 30 October 1990. He was only 45 years of age.
