Pretty much, he has to be a grown-up and strong man for his sis and even for himself. The world is a cruel place as he said to Khushi, it is not a piece of cake to stand on your feet and then thrive with success. Many can't do. Only lucky ones survive.

You are right in the sense that they added a new dimension to ArShi's love story and made Shyam stumble on his track. He was unable to stop Gupta's entrance to Raizada's mansion.After all Payal was becoming to the Raizadas.

Itself their story was sweet and simple but After the marriage, Akash appeared to be disappointed.

Shyam proved helpless when these two brought their fast track love story and marriage on board, he was like, no way then his true colors came out more than ever.
