He reminds me of Suryakumar Yadav': Former India star on PBKS batter

Former India opener Aakash Chopra has picked middle-order batter Shashank Singh as one of the players to watch out for in the IPL 2024 match between RR and PBKS. Chopra picked Shashank as his first pick while discussing the top three players who should remain in focus. “Which three players can we focus on? The first is Shashank Singh because he is a very good player and the focus is always on him. The way he is batting, there will be a time when you will consider him for the Indian team," Chopra said. "He is not a 22 or 25-year-old. He is a fairly senior guy in terms of age. He has that much domestic experience and now he is just blooming. He reminds me a little of Suryakumar Yadav. His career also ascended similarly. So Shashank Singh is the first player," the former India opener added.

"It's typical Rajasthan. There is talk in cricketing circles that Rajasthan is doing Rajasthan things. When they play well, they do that consistently, but then suddenly they go off the boil, and you think what has happened to this team. It happened last year as well," Chopra said on his YouTube. "They were playing well and it seemed like they would 100% qualify but they didn't. They did play the final in the year before that for sure but here also, eight wins in nine games - it rarely happens, but after that, you lost three consecutive games. The way they played the last match was disappointing in capital letters," Chopra added.
