RR dropped to No. 2 after five weeks at the top of the points table, but it has still taken a lot to beat them this season: Gujarat Titans managed it by hitting a last-ball boundary, and Sunrisers Hyderabad denied RR two runs off the final ball in their previous game. All this and more in Sreshth Shah's preview for the day. But can RR stop Jake Fraser-McGurk?

Who has the highest strike rate in the death overs in IPL 2024? If you're guessing Andre Russell, Heinrich Klaasen or Dinesh Karthik, you'd be wrong. The most destructive batter at the finish this season is DC's Tristan Stubbs. More on him via former South Africa left-arm spinner Robin Peterson, who is now Stubbs' coach in domestic cricket.

A sensational first season for Fraser-McGurk

It's quite the stat and is telling of the season Australia's Jake Fraser-McGurk has had - his first in the IPL. A staggering 88.8% of the runs in IPL 2024 have come in boundaries.

Jake explained his gameplan at the mid-innings break after his 27-ball 84 against Mumbai Indians last month. “My role is to go out there and score as many as possible in the first six. If I go on, I go on. If I get ones and twos, it’s either because I’ve mishit it or maybe it’s the last ball of the over,” he told the broadcasters.

Players to watch out

DC: Rishabh Pant’s road to recovery from a horrific accident has been a remarkable one. However, what is even more of a pleasant surprise has been how quickly he has been able to get back to his batting best. With the qualification on line, the onus and spotlight will be once again DC skipper to produce the goods with the bat and as a captain on the field.

RR: After a poor first half of the tournament Yashasvi Jaiswal has hit form the tournament. If Rajasthan has to win their second trophy they need their young Indian left-hander to continue to contribute in the remainder of the season. Coming on back off a blistering half-century in the previous game against SRH Jaiswal would be looking to make another score of substance.

Pitch report by Deep Dasgupta and Brian Lara: Fourth game here in Delhi and the average score is 249 so far, five out of the six innings have seen scores over 200. One of the reasons is the dimensions of this ground. Today the side boundaries are 59m and 67m, 74m straight hit. Pitches early on here had more grass, now we have more bare patches and a few cracks. There is still some grass cover in the middle of the pitch. I believe it is going to be another high-scoring game
