Its good that she didn't fall for Anthony's promises and decided to side with Karan instead.

He is going to take on Anthony by himself? But then he is right. He doesn't know who is on his side any more.

Much as he doesn't want to risk her life, there is no other way. At least he knows she is siding with him.

He knows now what it took for her to go against Anthony and side with him. He still can't love her yet, but there is some tenderness.
