Not much interested or affected by the US elections..but this election was not for the Dems to win irrespective of the candidate they chose.

From what I read on X..Russia Ukraine war was one major reason. Americans seemed truly fed up with US aids to Ukraine at the cost of their own economy..People who could breathe again when Biden was elected turned into his critics soon enough.

It’s going to be an interesting race in 2024 with both Trump and Harris hitting the campaign trail. Each has their own strengths and challenges, but the outcome will depend on how voters respond to their final messages and the key issues at stake. The election could shape up to be one of the most closely contested in recent history!

Usha Chilukuri Vance, the wife of Donald Trump's running mate, J.D. Vance, is set to become the first Indian-origin Second Lady of the United States. Her roots trace back to India's Andhra Pradesh. Born and raised in suburban San Diego, Usha's ancestral village has been praying for improvements to their land, hoping her historic position will bring positive changes.

Won't Kamala Harris be considered second lady? Only VP's wife is second lady not the VP herself?

Indian origin in any case Usha Vance is first. But I don't understand why are Indians so happy, she left all Indian men for him

smiley37smiley37 she was not born here in India na .. She was born to immigrant parents.. Why do people consider them as Indians in first place and why are they celebrating it as their own? Be it Kamala or Usha they have nothing to do with India except include one line in all their speeches that they were born to Indian immigrant parents..

On alternative I find Rishi Sunak/ Sundar Pichai to be more close to Indian roots..as they have been to India and proudly talk about Indian practices at many places..

He said women should be punished for it when he was running in 2016. It was his promise to the Christian Right to get rid of Roe V Wade that’s why they supported him. Either way the voters have spoken there will be peaceful transfer of power. Kamala won’t be crying she was cheated cause she lost cause that’s how Democracy works

hope there will be full support for the israel to decimate these mass murderer terrorist organisation.

I agree terrorist should be decimated but they’re not dying, cause the hostages still not free. The people who are dying in mass are innocent civilians mostly women and children. Now Netanyahu will have full reign in Gaza & The West Bank so get ready for more suffering for Palestinian and the families who are crying for their family members to be free.

See I feel if Usha visits their village, then govt may develop roads and other facilities. That's what I feel.
