Yup! It was okay-ish but it felt off Like it was too fanfiction-y. So I looked up and found out that it was indeed a fanfiction.

Colton's will come in the third novel. And it is kinda funny, well, except for the instant love part The 5th novel's FL is too plain though. Like there is a thing or two that you might like about the FL's of the first four novels but the 5th one is meh

@Bold - exactly! I need some conflict, some adjusting to each other, but it's okay.

I am gonna read the rest of the novels in this series for Meryn and the sub-plot (which after reading the reviews, the sub-plot is gonna be interesting and there are gonna be quite some revelations).

Woh Byron ki ex hi ek vamp hai but she’s like typical Chinese novel vamp who gets face slapped by FL every damn time

I will read further to check if the sub plot / twist is what I think it is

Halfway through the second book and I’m finding Meryn to be quite juvenile now

That's why it is fantasy

@BOLD - I don't think that the twist is what you think it is as the sub-plot I am talking about spans over the entire series. 😏

I believe that is why most people continued reading the series because insta love for so many novels so the author added this plot, revealing some secrets and twists in every novel so that readers will be intrigued about who is this bad guy and why all the powerful people seem to be gathering around Meryn.

Haven't been able to read much in the last 2-3 days. Hopefully I'll be on it by tonight
