Today, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are reportedly getting married in a private ceremony at a Santa Barbara estate. Guests, including family and friends, are expected to arrive in Los Angeles for the weekend celebration. Reports suggest that guests will be accommodated at the El Encanto hotel, with rooms fully booked at $3,500 per night, according to Hola.
Secrecy maintained at the wedding
To maintain privacy, guests will only be informed of the wedding location upon arrival, when they are transported to the venue.
An insider told The Sun, All the guests will be picked up and driven to the location without knowing their destination ahead of time. Everyone is so excited despite the mystery, they know it will be an amazing time.
Selena’s engagement
After confirming their relationship in late 2023, the couple got engaged in December 2024. Gomez shared engagement photos on Instagram, with the caption, "forever begins now."
Pre wedding celebrations
Before the wedding, Gomez celebrated her bachelorette party in Cabo San Lucas with close friends Racquelle Stevens, Ashley Cook, and Courtney Lopez, as reported by Hola. The celebration included yacht outings, during which Gomez was seen in a white bikini.
Gomez's cousin, Priscilla Marie, also attended the bachelorette party. Gomez had previously been the maid of honor at Priscilla's 2019 wedding and is the godmother to her daughter, Aubriella Marie. Blanco's bachelor party was held in Las Vegas at a villa costing $25,000 per night.
Expected guest list
Expected guests include Paris Hilton, and Gomez's Only Murders in the Building co-stars, Martin Short and Steve Martin. Taylor Swift's attendance is unconfirmed. Meryl Streep, who also appears in Only Murders in the Building, was earlier set to attend but backed out at the last minute, according to Page Six.
Gifts and well wishes
Before the wedding, Gomez and Blanco received a gift from PETA, featuring a plant-based version of Blanco's favorite snack - chips and caviar. Lisa Lange, PETA's senior VP of communications, called it an "animal-friendly twist on Benny's favorite combo," as reported by Hola.
The couple is planning an intimate celebration, as excitement builds for their wedding, with the location and details closely guarded.
