Recent films that apparently did well are so bad

I don’t understand how did they do so well in theatres. I tried watching Munjya, Kalki, Chandu Champion. Sorry they are bad films. Leave theatres they are not even interesting enough to keep you hooked to your tv at home. Sad state if affairs!! When did we forget making films like ZNMD, YJHD, Queen, DCH, Piku, Dil dhadakne do, Lagaan, Swades, Chak de, TZP, RDB etc etc.

I would be interested to know what exactly it is that makes these movies "bad" to you

Chandu Champion flopped

But I understand what you’re saying. I’m happy the movie Shaitan was successful for Ajay but I saw it and it was pretty weird

Kalki - It made no sense. Very lousy execution. All those villains look cartoonish.

Munjya - Very thanda. No story. The leads have no leads energy. I liked Sharvari in Maharaj but here she is very dull.

Bad News - Stupid comedy with bad acting

Chandu Champion - Lacks the punch a sports movie needs to have

I only watched Kalki out of these three you've mentioned....and I can't agree more with you.

I left the movie half way in theatre, it was THAT MUCH NON ENGAGING for me that I found myself unable to sit through it anymore.

Before that it was Patthan, my second last outing in cinemas before Kalki... and it was a SHEER TORTURE ...tbh

Even I totally fail to understand how come cinegoers tolerate such headaches in the name of movies, let alone making them such huge blockbusters... 🙄😏🤔😩😧

I just saw Bad News and it was truly bad news. Such a horrible movie with unfunny jokes - it's almost unwatchable. And Tripti sucks. People make fun of Ananya but Tripti was even worse - no spark or charisma or any kind of interest she brings to make her the center of that pathetic triangle. Vicky was okay but that's about it.

Munjya was fun. I really enjoyed it. Abhay Verma and his sardar friend were really good. I hope they make Munjya 2.

How was Sharvari in the film though? And also does she have a meaty role with lots of screen time?

She had a smaller role . Nonetheless she acted well.
