He is just blessed with great screen presence! https://x.com/rebelhere007/status/1817892406525915283?s=46 and folks saying he plays it safe..this is actually not playing safe. He has tried different scripts ..which on paper looked great ..and failed at execution. And my absolute favourite Prabhas movie before Bahubali was Mirchi so imma loving a comeback to that vintage Prabhas..

I liked the teaser too, he looks good aa well!!

Kalki fever and Netflix notification that they are going to remove it soon made me go back to my OG love Baahubali series and binge watch over the past week. Oh boy….haven’t enjoyed any other movie like that in the recent times. How I wish they release them on the bigscreen once again. Just want to relive the experience all over again. 🤌🫶

Just tagging the fellow Baahubali fans on this thread.

OMG I was just watching it on TV thw other day and the way I cried and cried at his death scene...no movie is gonna replace Baahubali in my heart. Period. It is hands down my most favourite film series across languages and The Conclusion is my most favourite film.

I truly want to see it on the big screen again as well. Some movies should never leave the theaters.

I can relate to that...at least it would be a pleasure if there were more retrospectives of certain directors or movies on big screens.

As for Kalki, here Sacnilk's numbers (including yesterday):

India Net Collection ₹ 639.65 Cr (Hindi 288,86) Worldwide Collection ₹ 1034 Cr

Amarendra Baahubali’s life and death both tragic to the core. He was born as an orphan totally dependent on his father’s family. But for Shivagami, he would’ve been killed as soon as he was born. And for that Shivagami asked him to pay the biggest price which he refused to do and met with his tragic end. His wife Devasena’s fate is no better, except that she could meet their son even if it was after 25 long grueling years. Both of them deserved much more but didn’t get anything in the end. I don’t think any eyes can remain dry watching Kattappa killing Baahubali scene. :(

Btw, I think Baahubali is roughly based on The Lion King, isn’t it?

I think there was a lot of elements of Duryodhan in Bhallaldev..his father was Dhritrashtra/ Shakuni..Shivgami was like Bhishma/ shades of Kaikeyi..Amarendra Bahubali - mix of Ram and Pandavas..Devsena - fiery like Draupadi and vanvaas like Sita..and Mahindra was definitely Simba..

That entire sequence is nothing but cinematic brilliance which is going to be etched forever into every movie watcher’s memory. I am yet to experience such an elevation, not even the part 2 Devasena-Amarendra can come close to it nor the Kattappa killing Baahubali scene. In short, like you said, it was nothing but pure magic through each and every frame. The kind of elation I experienced can hardly ever be matched ever again by any other movie. I thought RRR would do it but may be my expectations of him were too high that it failed to fulfill. I came out as a disappointed fan only to be shocked by all the international acclaim the movie got which even his masterpiece Baahubali did not get.( BTW, I watched RRR recently but this time I loved it and enjoyed it better than the first time)

Oh I also watched the Modern Masters just this morning only and loved it. Didn’t even know how the 1 1/2 hrs went by.

Thing with Prabhas for sure is..he is not a great actor..he isnt going to win you an Oscar by a long shot..but star he is. There are far better actors than Prabhas down south..but noone can match him in his screen presence and his towering persona IMO. I always said this - if his character slits someone's throat in a shot..or takes on 5 people at a go..it never looks unbelievable..plus there is some kind of innocence on his face..even with the 6 ft 2 inch height..which is why he is so dearly loved by the masses. Yes Rajamouli made him everyone's most loved Pan India south sensation..but I dont think Cherry or NTR, even after RRR, have the kind of mass approval Prabhas enjoys right now..even after fair bit hits and misses 7 years after Bahubali..Prabhas's solid fan base is still intact...and his movies still open huge.. Allu/ Yash are as good as Pushpa/ KGF2 in Hindi belts..I dont think his next movie can open to those kind of numbers..we will see..

Absolutely, he is the only legitimate pan India star we have right now, May be after Amitabh Bachchan he is the only star who is most recognized and revered in every corner of India. I fell in love with him all over again after rewatching Baahubali. AB is my dream man. ☺️😆

Kattappa is definitely Bheeshma. I think Shivagami is Gandhari+Kaikeyi. Rest of the analogies perfect. Story is roughly like Lion King, The uncle kills his dad and puts MB on exile who finds his way back to his home because of the girl.
