Someone reminded me that in the Brahamstra Universe,

Deepika and Ranveer are playing the role of Ranbir's parents, and Alia is their daughter-in-law, as stories are set in 2 different generations.

Now that's not the dramedy I would have wanted.

I think since early 2000s nostalgia is at its peak right now, people are really missing Preeti on-screen.

Her recent appearances at the IPL, Bollywood parties etc. are going viral on Insta Reels and YouTube shorts. Her looks have also improved and she looks terrific for her age.

I would say it's the perfect time for her Preeti to start her second innings. She has very high chances of collaborating with her old co-stars right now.

Bobby Deol, with whom she worked a lot is back in the game.

SRK has bounced back like never before.

People are also missing Saif from early 2000s, as that was his peak "romantic young man" era.

is the least voted option. I am dying to watch a good rom-com since ages especially with love triangles.

Regarding multi-generation film, I see you added Amitabh-Jaya (70s) and Hrithik-Kareena (2000s). That's basically the 2/3rd cast from K3G.

Tripti, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Sheikh will be a good collaboration but not sure it would work for a superhero film.

They don't have the stature/screen presence required to be a super hero. They might graduate to that level in a few years, especially Tripti.

I do miss romcoms and love triangles too. Generally they tend to be mushy and even illogical, specially in Bollywood. So maybe that’s why no one is making them anymore. Bollywood is not where it was in the 90s 😔


With the multigenerational I wanted more gaps between the generations. Akshay has actually worked with Anushka and I don’t know if chronologically he’s considered a generation older than Ranveer. Also a lot of the yesteryear’s male actors are not with us anymore. Amitabh and Jetendra and Dharmendra are all I can think of. Unless we go towards character actors like Boman Irani or Pankaj Kapur or Manoj Pahwa.

I don’t know, I think with the right story and direction Tripti, Sanya, and Fatima can pull off superhero characters. Two of them did marvelous in Dangal.
