The truth is all genders NEED companionship. Also, no matter how modern you think you are, biologically and physiologically - men and women are different. There are some things that women can do better.

For an audience of Bollywood that is obsessed with the concept of MAA. I’m shocked that people aren’t getting her point. That’s why maa maa hoti hai folks. Get over it and better understand the point being made.

No one is saying women should be alone. But what is being said is that a woman shouldn’t be shamed for wanting to be alone. Majority of women still want husband and family. More power to them. But some people are so hard set in their mentality of gender roles that the idea of freedom of choice for a women comes across as something negative and harmful for society. Seriously, how does society get hurt if an individual woman says she doesn’t want to be a wife or a mother?

Feminism and equality is not about physicality and strength. It’s about female teachers or lawyers or doctors getting the same pay and the same promotional opportunities as their male counterparts. It’s about not judging a woman for wearing a short skirt or being outside after dark. It’s about not expecting women to always smile and be pleasant. It’s about not expecting your daughter to learn how to cook and clean but not your son. It’s also about not just teaching your son how to change a flat tire but also your daughter. The list goes on and on.

What’s happening these days is that women are demanding respect and equal treatment and patriarchy is fighting that. Not because feminism hurts society but because women succeeding and reaching their full potential means they’ll lose their patriarchal powers that they’ve gotten only and only for being born male.

No, chief. It's better that we let different genders make up their own minds whether they need companionship or not instead of making blanket statements for everyone involved. I can point to 10 people from within my own vicinity who have denounced marriage and are happily living their life, and these are people in varying ages from 40s to 60s. Marriage is not the be all end all.

Now they're trying to erase women and the feminists are silent, even compliant

Also, do not understand why some people feel the need to bring in 'iS yOuR dAd aNd bRoTher toO inCLudEd' kind of lame counters when someone says "all men". In India alone, about 89% r*pes are committed by perpetrators that the victim knows (i.e family and friends, relatives). And if it's a child s*xual abuse case, then best believe it's always and always family/close relatives. The victim being unfamiliar with her perpetrators are aberrations, and not the norm. Honestly, this argument (if you can even call it that) should be null and void after many cases that have come up in recent past where fathers and brothers are perpetrators. So, yes, ALL men, until proven otherwise. Deal with it.
