None of the current lot pay attention to their dialogue delivery . Alia was literally speaking in the same vein in her last 4 outings namely- Gully Boy, Darlings, Gangu and Rocky though she was playing 4 completely different characters from 4 different walks of life as well as 4 different Indian states. In Rocky she was even playing a Harvard returned Delhiite with Bengali background but with dialogue delivery of a Gujarati uneducated sexworker from Gangu.

In 12 th fail Vikrant’s little focus on the voice and dialogue delivery could’ve made his performance even more heart tugging and enjoyable.

Just watch the previous lot like SRK, Akshay, Sunny Deol, Aamir Khan etc and how their dialogue delivery is a part of their acting.

Now I am bracing myself up for the Sanju dialogues in Ramayana. 😭

Its not south indian accent, its her dialogue delivery, period.In her debut movie, her voice was dubbed. And it appears that her dialogue delivery is still poor compared to her contemporaries. She has poor voice modulation. It just sounds so MECHANICAL.

It’s the diction problem. Most of the current lot focus more on the superficial things like costumes PR bla bla bla but ignore the most important thing which defines a character- the way it speaks.Same drab drudgery in the name of dialogue delivery in every character.

This isn't much to say because literally every new gen actor has terrible terrible diction and dialogue delivery. Just God awful. From Ranbir, Alia, SidM, KA, Kriti, Sara, Jhanvi, the list goes on. Deepika's problem is not South Indian accent but rather poor diction like everyone else. It's a skill issue and not a language issue.

To be fair this applies to a bunch of actors

Ajay devgan as tanaji, bhagat Singh, dude in golmaal, raju chacha, omkara, gangajal…..it’s all one and the same 🥱
