Review - Quite a bad film! Apart from normalising misogyny, it first of all lacks on the love story and chemistry. The build up for Ranbir and Shradha’s characters is good but you never understand when they fall in so much love to be so butthurt by eo’s betrayal towards the later part of the film. They are just attracted to eo and bang there are talks about wedding, meeting families etc etc.

The whole plot of the film where Shraddha’s character despite being a successful and independent woman takes the help of an unknown person (Ranbir) to voice her concerns in her relationship and breakup is written in a very bad light. Why does she need to feel bad for choosing to not stay with her in laws post marriage? Its her right! As she is also leaving her family. She could have clearly gone up to Ranbir’s character and said what she wants. But no they had to make this lame ass film right😅

Coming to Ranbir’s character, he is quite a hypocritical ass. First he makes judgements about other’s relationships and becomes a self proclaimed messiah to decide the fate of their relationship but when it comes to his own, he takes it on his ego lol. He rejects Shraddha’s character if she doesn’t want to live with his family post marriage. Till when will we keep terming men’s need to be babied by their mommies and given monetary support in the form of property & business by their daddies as their so called sanskar!?

When two adults get married they need their own space and privacy to know each other and hence if one partner doesn’t want to live with the family nothing wrong in that. But the film clearly puts Shraddha in the bad light for wishing to stay away from Ranbir’s family. And the fact that she only gets married to him when she accepts his family presumes that’s the ONLY WAY SHE WAS ACCEPTABLE to Ranbir as his wife which is soo demeaning.

In short when a misogynist makes a film to portray his dakiyanusi thoughts but wraps it in humor and family drama so that it’s leas offending, It’s called TJMM.
