Raja Hindustani is the most undeserving film to become ATBB. Only worked due to songs, kissing scene and Karishma makeover.

Otherwise totally OTT, loud, regressive and cheap mix of Pyar Jhukta Nahi and Jab Jab Phool Khilein.

Deal with it. No one is denying success of that overrated loudspeaker, non dancer, non looker, non sexy, non versatile nepo girl Kajol. She ruled thanks to backing of YRF, Dharma and Khans. But she is, was and will always be NOWHERE in comparison to stardom of Madhuri Dixit.

Salman never got backing of YRF, Dharma or lollypops from Filmfare despite being nepo kid unlike Kajol.

HAHK has better looking leads than below average looking leads of DDLJ. I stand by what I said.

Keep your so called 'unconventional' looking leads to yourself. SRK was never as handsome as Salman Khan. No other actor is. Salman can only be compared to likes of Dharam, Hrithik, Vinod Khanna if at all. Not to others. And Kajol never had and will never have gravitas to stand in comparison to Madhuri in ANY department be it looks, acting, grace, aura or stardom.

Deal with it. I am not here to defend obviously facts. If someone has inferiority complex then it is not my problem.

I stated my opinion in my post which was in response to someone else. You are the one who is dictating and lecturing me on other actors and getting defensive about their lack of looks.

Madhuri looked better than Kajol even without botox in younger days. Deal with it.

You can argue with anyone on any forum or carry a poll on looks. We shall see how many vote for Kajol over Madhuri or SRK of 90s over Salman Khan of 90s. 🤣

Salman and Madhuri of 90s were something else. Easily the most good looking male and female stars of the time when HAHK was made. That is why HAHK is a visual delight besides just opulent sets and grand weddings. Poor Kajol tried wearing green ghunghat to match Madhuri in joote do song only to fall FLAT. LMAO!

Woah that’s quite a rant. I assume you don’t like Kajol much?😆 Well yeah even I have never liked her much, she is a good actress but that’s about it. Madhuri was definitely better in almost everything.

Madhuri usually worked with ugly or older actors or below average lookers. Salman was the only one who suited her looks. Vinod would have suited too if he was not that older than her. He ended up looking like a groomer in Dayavan opposite her.

What about Karishma?

For me, Salman’s best 90s romantic movies were the non Barjatya ones such as Baaghi, Saajan, Ek ladka, PKTDK , Khamoshi, HDDCS etc . Maine Pyaar Kiya is still fine but watching HAHK today can give you diabetes

Karishma is not much of a looker. Though she did have a good chemistry with Salman.

I think she was trash in K3G with OTT performance and cheap caricature of Punjabi middle class girls and never deserved all best actress awards she got for it.

She was misfit in period roles and I found her weakest link in Tanhaji.

She is immaturely behaved in real life and I dislike her screaming like an overgrown kid even at this age.

She was never versatile. I remember she did a film with Ajay in 90s in which she tried to copy Raveena in Tu Cheez badi hai mast type song and it is laughable how she miserably failed at it. She cannot dance much and can never look hot even if she tried.

Not just her husband. It is SRK also who kept her afloat.

If I'm not mistaken, the question is about the entertainment that both movies give...not the beauty of the actors/actresses.

There is so much more that makes a movie entertaining than the physique and poise of an actor/actress.

It's okay to express the personal impression about actors/actresses yet that is - imo - a very personal thing and I don't see the need to get aggressive over something like that.

Okay, HAHK is the most successful Hindi movie of all time. So what? (Is it therefore also the more entertaining one nowadays?)

Okay, HAHK inspired other movie-stories ... and was inspired itself by another movie and a novel. So what?

How many, many movies got inspired by something already shown/written/told?

Is entertainment depending on how much the movie got insprired by another movie?

I fully respect if someone finds HAHK more entertaining than DDLJ...because this again depends on the personal reception. There are only "solid facts" in the own mind and perception when it comes to the "fact" that a movie entertains me more than another one...and I think they are valuable and not a subject of discussion.

I have reasons for my preference of watching and re-re-re-watching DDLJ, I could tell (but I won't enter into an aggressive discussion because of that).

HAHK is not a movie, more of a music playlist, with toilet breaks in between the songs. Lallu looks effeminate in the movie and could easily be mistaken for Madhuri's younger ugly looking sister.

Between the two, I'd say DDLJ.
