This is all BS. Gowariker should have cast asli Rajput Kshatrani Kangana Ranaut as Jodha. She also loved Hrithik since she saw him in KNPH. She was young prodigy type talent.

It is sheer bias, elitism, nepotism, ignorance of history to not cast Kangana in role of a Rajput princess.

Yesss!!! She can also ride a wooden horse if needed!

Kangna would have defeated the villian all by herself and rewrote history (which was already manipulated for script) so HR got jealous and Aish was cast instead

It is male ego of papa ke raja beta stars who could not digest an actual Rajput warrior like Kangana overshadowing him in sword fighting scenes and feared they would be unable to match her superior prodigal acting skills in emotional scenes and Jodha may seem more prominent than Akbar, which is why this insecure, elitist, star son Hrithik did not agree to take Kangana as Jodha.

Gowariker is also sexist and biased against real Rajputs which is why he chose Aishwarya instead of Kangana.

Yeah..if you wanted Jodha Bai to suddenly break into "cool" and "yo" style American mannerisms. Or conversely, overdo the sharmeeli nazaakat.

PC never knows how to balance it. The only time Ive actually found her pitch perfect is in Bajirao and Barfi where she hit it out of the park

Ash is not the world's best actress but she nailed Jodha's role.

Ash was perfect in this role. Being a great actor is not enough to guarantee a film’s success, sometimes chemistry, looks, aura etc. play a bigger part.

I don’t think JA would have worked with PC. PC may be a better actress than Aish but she can’t create the same chemistry with HR as Aish. HR-Aish were perfectly casted as JA and that worked big time for the film. It wasn’t AG’s best work but he had HR-Aish and ARR that worked out for the film. And still remembered as one of the better films in 2008. If PC was casted, it would have failed. No thanks I am glad Aish was picked.🙏🏻

That's laughable. Aishwarya was perfect in the role and her chemistry with Hritik was great.

Priyanka is way overrated, her Hollywood movies show that perfectly. Even during her Bollywood days she was good in movies like Fashion and Bajirao Mastani but medicore in many others! And while she looked great at her peak, she didn't look like a queen like Aish

Nah.....Priyanka might be a much better actress than Aish....but there was a certain aura about Jodha...which no one else could have pulled.....Aish is the perfect Jodha,,,,
