Aishwarya Rai Bachchan celebrated her 51st birthday on November 1 last week. The whole Bachchan family, including her husband Abhishek Bachchan and in-laws Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan avoided wishing her on social media. This again sparked the divorce rumours between Aishwarya and Abhishek.

Though Amitabh didn't post anything special for Aishwarya, a Reddit user dug out his old tweets when he had wished her daughter-in-law on her birthday in 2010. Fourteen years back, the Sholay star had posted two tweets on Aishwarya's birthday. The first one read, "T171 - Family dinner at Chinese in Taj where function was held...and brought in Aishwarya Birthday...good feel about the day", and the other read, "T172 - First things first...thank you all for wishing Aishwarya on her birthday!! Have passed it on to her...she thanks all...love."

Reacting to these old tweets, netizens shared that how Aishwarya's latest post on Instagram is birthday wish for Amitabh in October this year, but Amitabh conveniently ignored her special day. One of them wrote, "Ash’s latest post on Instagram was wishing him on his birthday. He didn’t even do the same for her. It’s sad", while another read, "This is how fickled Bollywood relationships are."

Sadly, it gives a feeling of Aish getting 'ousted'... But I believe that Abhishek still may have wished her, not just publicly...maybe other from the family, too... it could be that they don't want to actively drag family-matters into sm.

Things got sour when Shweta came back. It’s all there on YouTube. Even ash behavior changed from excited and happy ash to formal ash. But I am happy she has accepted the reality and finding that happiness with her daughter.

It feels like everything they’re doing now is to show the public the rift in the family. From showing up separately to Ambani wedding to now collectively ignoring her birthday publicly. So they may have wished her in private but publicly they definitely want it to be known that she’s no longer part of their clique.

Bacchans are weird. Given that bacchans are so regressive, my best guess is that they wanted a son from Aish.

The rumours of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's divorce and the Paa actor dating Nimrat Kaur have been doing rounds on the internet. While the Dasvi actress termed it 'gossip', Aish and Junior Bachchan are yet to comment on it. Meanwhile, veteran actress Simi Garewal and filmmaker Farah Khan have defended the Ghoomer actor and called Abhishek Bachchan the nicest guy.

On Sunday, Simi Garewal took to Instagram and shared a clip of an old interview with Abhishek Bachchan on her talk show. In the interview, the Bunty Aur Babli actor shared his views on commitment and marital fidelity. On the talk show, Junior Bachchan made a firm stance on being a one-woman man. He also reaffirmed the importance of being loyal.

During the talk show, Abhishek said, "Call me old-fashioned, but I have nothing against being frivolous. I have nothing against people wanting to have fun with both of the constants; then, by all means, enjoy yourselves. But if you have committed to somebody on whatever level, then abide by that commitment; otherwise, don’t make it. I personally feel that as a man, if you commit to a woman, even if you get caught up with her boyfriend, you should be loyal to her."

Further, he added, "Men are usually accused of being very disloyal; I have never been able to understand that, and I don’t agree with it. It disgusts me."

Sharing the video, Simi praised Abhishek and called him 'one of the nicest persons in Bollywood with good values and innate decency.'

While netizens flooded the comments section with their opinions, filmmaker Farah Khan, with whom Abhishek worked in Happy New Year, commented, "I fully agree he's just the nicest guy." (sic)

However, a section of users slammed the veteran actress and asked if she was trying to protect Abhishek. Following that, Simi deleted the post from Instagram.

To me, it seems, that the only person genuinely loving Aish is her daughter and that's why Aish is always with her in public appearances...as if Aaradhya is the only emotional 'support system' to her... For now, separation or not isn't really 'confirmed'.
