Hrithik wasn't in supporting role in K3G?

War wasn't a two hero film? Why was the movie named War in the first place?

I believe K3G was a three hero film, AB sr, SRK and HR, i do think that all of them had equal screen space and importance to the story, while the first half was about the older son leaving the house, the second half was about the younger son reuniting the family. Hrithik in K3G had equal importance as SRK had, that is my opinion.

War was a two hero film, but Tiger did not have equal contribution in the success, Hrithik's contributions was higher, it does not take an Einstein to understand this.

If you have watched K3G then you should know that SRK and Kajol have big roles in both first and second half of the movie.

Amitabh and Jaya are mostly seen in first half and Hrithik and Kareena are only seen in second half except few scenes of Hrithik during the start of the movie.

So by screentime, SRK and Kajol are the leads and rest of the cast is supporting. That doesn't mean others didn't have any contribution in movie's success at box office. They had but Hrithik did have a supporting role, that's not putting him down unless you find supporting roles derogatory.

Okay, let's accept that Tiger didn't deserve equal credit for War compared to Hrithik. But that doesn't mean Tiger doesn't deserve any credit for the movie's success.

War worked because of the joint effort and stardom of Hrithik and Tiger. Otherwise Hrithik did return back in action genre a few years back with Bang Bang before War, but that movie underperformed.

Point is, Hrithik wasn't the sole crowdpuller in either K3G or War.

He would be in the same place that he is today. If all those non-talented Miss Worlds and models could make it big why wouldn't someone as good-looking and talented as Hrithik not make it big?

btw Hrithik was amazing in Fiza and Mission Kashmir which was released in 2000. So he would make it without his father too.

Doing whataboutery is not going to change the fact that the biggest Hits of Hrithik are with his father. Rakesh Roshan needs Hrithik, but Hrithik also needs Rakesh. He became Superstar because his father made films for him.

Tiger is a crowd puller ??????🤣🤣🤣. Since when????? Thanx for the laugh👍

I’ll turn around the question. If KNPH was directed by some other producer, wouldn’t HR become as successful ? I don’t know if u r a 90’s kid but I have seen the overnight rage HR has become when the film was released and his father has nothing to do with that.

Yes he is. Before War,

Biggest opening of Tiger : 25 Crores (Baaghi 2)

Biggest opening of Hrithik : 24 Crores (Bang Bang)

So yes, Tiger is a crowdpuller at the level of Hrithik.

@bold, but you'll not answer it.

Father had nothing to do with?
Didn't Rakesh Roshan make Kaho Na Pyaar Hain? And why KNPH Hrithik struggled to find another solo hit after KNPH until Koi Mil Gaya which was again directed by his father.

In my opening post itself I accepted that Hrithik has talent but only his father knows how to show it to the world (barring exceptions of Dhoom 2 and War). I sometimes wonder if some people even read the opening post or just jump on me only by reading the thread title.

And I sometimes wonder why you create these posts when you have clearly already made up your mind and aren’t really interested in anyone else’s opinion.

I could create a topic too: why did an occasionally homeless failed actor, two-bit director/producer financing his movies by mortgaging everything he owned suddenly become a world beater when he started filming his handsome, talented son with several films as an assistant director under his belt, a reputation for perfectionism and a penchant for involving himself in every single aspect of filmmaking? The son who worked on the story, production, and edit of every film he’s made with his father. The son who practically publicly worships his father and would never ever try to take credit from him but who had well publicized tension on set with his dad and whether marital strife or parental strife or unrelated literally moved out of the family home and stayed in hotels during the latter stages of K3. Maybe there is a reason the last two FilmKraft films were not directed by Rakesh Roshan. And why do so many people he’s worked with and interviewers ask Hrithik when he will start directing?

Is all of that true? Yes. Is it fair to Rakesh Roshan? Probably not. But maybe it is. Maybe the problem with other directors is too much of them and not enough Hrithik. Maybe Bang Bang didn’t do better because Hrithik just did exactly what Sid told him - and did it well the problem with Bang Bang was not Hrithik. Maybe War would have been just another Bang Bang if Hrithik hadn’t gotten comfortable enough with Sid to tell him - the week before shooting - this character isn’t right let’s completely rework him and then do it. Maybe Thugs would have worked if they had made the changes Hrithik held out for. Etc. etc. etc. Maybe Hrithik is a much better filmmaker than his father ever was or will be.

No one knows what would have happened with a different actor in KNPH. No one knows what would have happened if Mission Kashmir or the movie that didn’t happen at all had been Hrithik’s debut. Bollywood audiences have a storied history of loving truly terrrible films - maybe the reason those early Kareena films didn’t work was only because KNPH had raised everyone’s expectations too high. His career might have actually had a better trajectory if his first film had just been a moderate success. The point is - no one knows. No one. So why be so convinced you and only those who agree with you are right?

Well more like couch crashers but you get the idea.

“Hrithik said that when he was nine years old, his family was going through a financially difficult time. They could not pay their rent so his mother, Pinky Roshan, took him and his sister to her father’s house while his actor father Rakesh Roshan lived with his mother. “Until the time my dad could earn enough money to buy another house. And then we shifted into another house which was barely just walls and floors. We slept on gaddas, these mats and slowly got the furniture in,” Hrithik said. Simi then talked to Sussanne, asking her if she was watching her mother decorate luxury homes when Hrithik was going through all this at his age. “Maybe, yeah,” Sussanne said.”
