Hmmm...what's up with these newbies praising the nepos all of a sudden.😆

OT, I think both are overrated but Kajol was organically accepted by audience and still probably has a bigger fanbase than Alia.😆I'm not a fan of either, but I would choose Kajol over Alia.

SRK and Kajol did not make both movies success

If Salman and Madhuri or amir and juhi would have done that movies it would be equal or more successful actually

DDLJ and KKHH req not much acting skills any hero heroine could do it and it would be hit because of its songs or locations etc.

Salman Khan better than SRK in DDLJ? 😳

Let me understand this. You think THIS ass-wiping towel can be a better Raj?

Happy Birthday Salman Khan: Don't know how to dance? No worries ...

That’s it. I’ve seen it all. I’m ready now.

HAHK are bigger hit than DDLJ, MPK was bigger hit than KKHH.

What makes you think Salman in DDLJ wouldn't have worked? It isn't like DDLJ required great acting effort.

You answer that question for me. Raj is considered an iconic romance hero that has been idealised for many years. The character requires a certain boyish, mischievous charm, along with portraying the right amount of passion and intensity. SRK as Raj was extremely endearing and I cannot imagine another actor giving life to that character the way he did. You are looking at the Box Office Revenue and have completely overlooked the overall impact Raj (played by SRK) had upon the audience.

Let Salman do what he does best 👍🏼 (which isn't much)

Just like Raj is adored, lets not forget Sallu's Prems is also adored.

It is just that his recent Bhaijaan image has made his romantic roles take a backseat.

SRK could never reinvent himself in his latter career phase, hence people are still stuck on his older on screen personas.

Adored on what basis though? They are both completely different characters that is not comparable to one another. The type of qualities you needed to be loved as Prem is different to Raj.

I will admit that I genuinely loved Salman in BB. I consider his that movie being one of his best performances till date. Prior to BB, Salman was in movies like Bodyguard, Kick, Dabaang, Wanted, Jai Ho, Ek Tha Tiger and so on. The only romance required in those movies was some pelvic thrusting dance moves and shirt-ripping-by-air scenes with a pretty heroine to play the flowerpot role. Those movies required zero acting and only needed to show that with one kick, all the villains will fly away.

SRK himself needs to get over his romantic hero phase and focus on playing characters that suit his age. However, I'd rather see him retire as opposed to watching him do the one punch = 7 khoon maaf kind of crap

[QUOTE=coldbrew]

Why does it matter what movies people were watching or not watching before SSR's death? This entire outcry is about how public's mind has been manipulated with carefully crafted media content by the bollywood bigwigs and how talent gets suppressed. - Did I say anywhere that those who didn't watch his films before can not watch his film now? Also, where did you get the idea of I was talking about him? Things like this didn't happen for the 1st time, miss.

But if everything is done by media or the bigwigs, when are we planning to use our brains. Don't tell me after each time someone dies, & that too just for a while.

By saying that only staunch fans of SSR are allowed to condemn the nepotism/favoritism and its effect on talented struggling actors, you are also implying that the rest of the people who are equally disgusted don't have the right to condemn it, which is incorrect. - I never said that. But the same bunch who bashed him for nothing now suddenly bashing others for him. That's hypocrisy.

People in general were NOT aware of the agenda driven character assassination/blind items that ruin people's careers. Those bolly bigwigs allegedly pull the strings to target only certain people who are deemed as "threats" to the current lot of nepo kids and that's another case might see the light of day or it might not. It's still up in the air even though SSR's family is currently pursuing the Rhea case. - Blind items been there since forever. Yes, they do have the capability to ruin someone's career & life. Politics exists in everything & at the end of the day all we can do is to stick to our ground & fight for what we believe & what is right & in the right way. I won't comment on SSR's case because like 1K other people I don't wanna make my own theory. Beside, I don't know what's your point here. Because for all I knew this topic had nothing to do with either KR or SSR.

Lastly, humanity comes above all to a lot of people. It's your prerogative if you prioritize entertainment over everything else and don't care who is dishing it out as long as you're entertained but that's not how it is for everyone else. - & Lastly, humanity comes above all , YES! but just because it comes above all doesn't mean one has to be overly generous to those who uses other human or their emotions to their benefit.

Also, if you don't know about something or someone then you should just zip it & leave.

They are actors, suppose to act not play politics & isn't it the reason why people are mad? " Bigwigs ganging up against outsiders " etc? Weren't you just now pointing how everything is well crafted & manipulated by the media to push the mediocre forward while genuine talent is fading away etc.? Then what's wrong if an audience want to watch what they like, find interesting? They are actors, suppose to entertain, no? & I said, if they are good, I'd watch. Nomatter it's an outsider or insider. I'm not here for their dramas. The moment I see something that's unethical, I will watch anything thst has them anymore. Simple.

If you expect one to bully someone coz they bullied someone else, then what does that make you?

You can fight your battle with the right weapon that's the truth. You can't be manipulative & pretend to be goody 2 shoes. That's pathetic.

You can take your own advice next time and not derail the topic further if you see it going too far off the tangent.

Rest of your argument has been rinsed and repeated a gazillion times on this forum, so I won't waste my time hopping on that train.
