I like Kajol, I think she is good actress. Not in the range of Sridevi, madhuri, Meena Kumari etc -but still a good actress. Aalia is ok-glamorous, filler good entertainment. You definitely notice her-so she has that star quality.

All she needs to do is to pick a struggle that's her own & stop using other's struggle for her own agenda. She's not some saint she projects herself to be. Few years from now on, when she'll have her own kid, she'd help them too & if we live , we shall see..

If there is Nepotism, there's favouritism.

For me people who screamed nepotism but hardly watched or appreciated an outsider's film, instead mocked them - I don't take their words seriously.

It takes a "suicide" for these people to scream a little for the time being, saying don't throw hate, have some empathy then they go back to trash talk/by!!y someone else.. & the cycle repeats.

For me, if you are talented, you entertain me & I like you, I'll pay to watch as long as it's good, nomatter who you are. That's for onscreen & for off screen, that's a whole different story.

Why does it matter what movies people were watching or not watching before SSR's death? This entire outcry is about how public's mind has been manipulated with carefully crafted media content by the bollywood bigwigs and how talent gets suppressed.

By saying that only staunch fans of SSR are allowed to condemn the nepotism/favoritism and its effect on talented struggling actors, you are also implying that the rest of the people who are equally disgusted don't have the right to condemn it, which is incorrect.

People in general were NOT aware of the agenda driven character assassination/blind items that ruin people's careers. Those bolly bigwigs allegedly pull the strings to target only certain people who are deemed as "threats" to the current lot of nepo kids and that's another case might see the light of day or it might not. It's still up in the air even though SSR's family is currently pursuing the Rhea case.

Lastly, humanity comes above all to a lot of people. It's your prerogative if you prioritize entertainment over everything else and don't care who is dishing it out as long as you're entertained but that's not how it is for everyone else.

This. I don't watch Woody Allen's films for example no matter how much everyone praises him, because of the things he has done.

Both overrated in general, good in ikka dukka movie but average overall Still Kajol is better bcoz she is more than just screaming that's why push required to give the tag is less

For Alia kwk had to do a lot of push .

Alia or Parineeti

Alia or Deepika .

And ended with

Rank in order of acting ability

Alia,Deepika,Anushka,Kareena or Katrina

Kajol ko overrate kiya bhi to audience me but Alia ko jabardasti digestive pills deke karaya gya by certain someone

I agree that Kajol is greatly over rated a lot of her awards were undeserving but Alia is much better and has given great performances!

Kajol is a mediocre actress, period. Her contemporaries including Juhi, Manisha, Urmila, Raveena and Rani are far ahead of her in acting.

these two couldnt have done a gupt , dushmann and fanaa even in a million years.

Manisha was lead actress

If you see manisha had more scenes and work than kajol to do in movie

Yes, Manisha was the lead. But Kajol stole the show.

I don't believe that an actor has to have most screentime to win Best Actor. It's about impact. Anthony Hopkins won Best Actor for a 20-minute role in Silence of the Lambs.

Ironically, Manisha should have won for Bombay, Khamoshi, Dil Se, and Company. Robbed all four times. She won the Critic's award for Bombay, Khamoshi, and Company.

Kajol won over Manisha in 1996. Karishma in 1997 for Raja Hindustani. Kajol over Manisha again in KKHH. And Aishwarya over Manisha's Company in 2003. 😆

Kajol in 1999 actually trumped Urmila in Satya, and Manisha in Dil Se, while Aish won in 2000 for HDDCS over Urmila in Kaun!

The state of these awards.

Kajol has a name in the film industry. Lookwise, she may be dark. So what? She is uniquely beautiful. She has also become fair after her marriage. But with respect to acting, she is one of the best actresses and deserves the best actress award.

Kajol was not ambitious. She never took away other’s projects. Rather, gave her projects to other people.

Look wise, people found Kajol pretty (if not beautiful) in her prime time. I can’t say that with Alia. There is a photograph of a young Kajol with Aishwarya lighting a lamp (I can’t find it in the web now). I felt Kajol prettier than Aish in that.

Acting wise, both are average. In Gupt, it was the suspense that shocked people. Kajol was shown to be the villain only at the end. Till then it was a normal role (nothing challenging). Last minutes were more of shocking value than acting value. Yes, a bad actress could have sabotaged. But the scene definitely did not need a great actress.

Kajol got an offer to act in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam opposite to Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan but she declined that offer.
