Wow... what an insult to Kajol.

Kajol is not versatile? From Dushman to Gupt to KKHH to K3G to Fanaa .... these roles are so different from each other. She also acted well in We Are Family and U me aur Hum. Perhaps people who are criticizing her are born in 2007 or something. I have yet to see anyone else cry as naturally on screen the way Kajol and Rani do

No. I’ll rate kajol higher on screen presence and looks. I also find kajol to have charm. She looks absolutely beautiful in certain roles and she was marvelous in gupt. So Natural.

I’m entitled to my opinion, alia can be cute on screen In roles but I don’t like Her childlike on screen presence. I like actresses to look like Women, Not kids/teens.

Also like alia could never do a fanaa like kajol, but maybe kajol couldn’t do an udta Punjab either: they are just different

Kajol's "acting" was so below average, but she was KJo's first test case of shoving a nepo product down the throats of the audience while deliberately sidelining talented actresses.

Alia is Kajol of the new millenium. Same issues: mediocre acting painted as great, sidelining more talented contemporaries.

No. She was one of the also-rans before KJo. Even after DDLJ, no one was singing paens to her like after KKHH. She was one of the many like Manisha, Raveena, Urmila, and others.

I remmeber seeing Kajol on the cover of Competition Success😆, meant for students into academics. She, who didn't even complete school, was touted as a role model for budding doctors and engineers. She was pushed by KJo as this intellectual and this amazing actress. Yeah, in a group which included TABU and Manisha 😆.

I would say kajol is a bit better

But 90s had some great actress like tabu, manisha koirala, madhuri, raveena etc

In front of them kajol looked like a junior artist rather very bland acting and looking too

I saw gupt recently and the way she was screeching "Kyun baba kyun, sahil sirf mera hai" made me laugh than feel bad for her

They say kajol acted very well in gupt, but i did not find that. Her role was written welll thats all

I feel in gupt bobby, manisha, om puri and many side actors performed better than kajol

But kajol had author backed role so she got praise

Even her dying scene was so funny than anything emotional. I did not feel any sympathy for her if director wanted me too show her any sympathy. Because of her acting may be i did not feel sorry for her in end. I was rather rooting for manisha in movie.

I think kajol's role should have gone to manisha koirala but you no nepotism na she got better role

Tabu, Urmila and Manisha were never the top actresses.

Kjo making Kajol an intellectual doesn't prove anything about him being behind Kajol being a huge star. She is a big star, and already got loads of chances from the industry gaining awards for DDLJ and Gupt. The only other ones who was in the same plane were the other nepo kids Karishma and Raveena, but latter went into haitus and never regained.

Obviously Madhuri, Juhi and Sri were there, even if twilight zone.

Are you claiming awards aren't bought?😆 Tabu and Manisha were far more talented actresses. Kajol was mediocre at her best and below average in most. Same constipated expression and same screeching meant to pass for emotion.

She piggybacked on SRK's successes. Ko's PR work made it hers.

The only Best Actor award she deserved was for Gupt, but she got Best Villain or something.
