In all this pseudo intellectual rant people remember that he is a product of nepotism too.
When he gets "launched" or starts in your face PR. Till then I'll consider him just a kid.

Well....he is right. Indian audience ( me and my family included ) like to spend their money on garbage movies with cheap entertainment values......par situation aisa hai to hai....it can't be changed in one day..😳
And of course Bollywood as an industry can not and should not be taken seriously as most of the movies made here are absolute trash....but sometimes after a stressful week, it's the mindless entertainment that we seek for a weekend watch in a nearby theater while munching overpriced stale fast foods....it has it's relaxing value....specially for a family outing.
Also things are changing ( albeit in a snail speed ), we are getting some good movies and web series.

I don't think he will get "launched". But will sure try to ride the coattails of his Dad's fame as he looks like Irrfan a lot.

That's why he's suddenly speaking up so much. He will make his name from this and then find a role in a movie. Obviously the mainstream elites won't be interested but the directors and producers that once worked with Irfan will probably give him a chance.

He also looks a lot like Irrfan so there would be makers who would want to cash in on the nostalgia. I don't mind him trying out his dad's profession but his apparent pseudo intellectual opinions are sure irking me. He definitely has an air of "Oh I am so much superior than you.." going on.

I wish, truly wish people would stop making people who pass away fallen heroes..
and stop discrediting the success of others by calling it mediocre.. I am sorry.. just because someone works in a certain type of movie, it in no way implies that their hard work is any less.. stop discrediting their success and undermining their hard work trying to prove the superiority of a certain type of cinema
That said, Irfan was a phenomenal actor.. and it wasn't like he wasn't appreciated.. he was.. every single time applauded for his act..
It is up to the audience to decide which type of movies they wAnt to invest.. stop guilt tripping them into liking a certain type of movies.. movies are meant to entertain.. If a movie entertains you, it's worth your money.. simple as that
I do not like to watch boring or serious movies. I prefare to watch light movies.
He is like some of our members at IF. 😃

I always felt Irfan was content with what he was doing and what he received in return. Never sounded bitter. Its just his son who seems to be not happy with it. Lets see what he delivers in terms of quality movies and if it indeed deserves the revenues of a Dhoom movie.
His son is worried due to nepotism debate he would not get a KJO launch pad. Most of the star kids want it, even though their parents might hate KJO.
