Her desire to get paired opposite Shah is completely valid cause there's only a six year difference. It's nothing remotely like Akshay or Salman's situation.

That's the point of her statement. When older actors are paired with extremely young actresses it's completely normal and requires no special script it's the norm while the opposite has conditions. Why's that.

Because if they can get Kareena or Deepika for example, why would they take you. They just have bettet options.

This right here. Once women start becoming real superstars, they will be able to star opposite 20 year younger men. It always depends on who holds the power. When the audience gets to the point where they start stanning female actors that much, it will happen.

In the real world, nobody cares that wrinkly Akshay is starring opposite Sara Ali Khan. Only online you see a few complaints. Versus how much they mock and make fun of a couple like PC and Nick.

The actors themselves don't give two figs about age. They just give the audience what they want. If and when the audience shows they want something else, they will get it.

Nina Gupta should produce her own movie and hire a young actor to romance. She won't do it because she doesn't want to lose money but she wants others to do it for her. 🤪

Yo preach! I have no issues with the statement at all. Go for it and halleluja. Writers won't do it because most have been conditioned to hate against that concept due to the market demands. "XYZ looks like his aunt/ sister/ mom" 90% of those hate comments here come from the female squad themselves yet they go around social justice warrior-ing on other social stigmas. I guess we all pick and choose our battle eh. The hypocrisy is unreal sometimes. Neither did I have a problem with Akki romancing a decade older Rekha nor do I have a problem with him romancing much younger Kriti. I apply the same logic to females too. About damn time male and female audiences need all get out of their ageist mentality. But who we kidding right?! Talk the talk online, can't walk the walk.

It will be career suicide for them . They want to show that they can still romance young actresses. Even if they work opposite Neena, how many ppl would go to watch that movie when compared with working opposite Kat/Deepika ?

Is she a character artist? She hasn't done any film of such kind..all the films she's part of are commercial mid budget films, none of it is niche film. Panga, SMZS, Badhai Ho, Mulk she has supporting roles and not charcter based role.
