Exclusive: Kareena Kapoor Khan’s digital debut series to be called ‘Poo Diaries’, will stream on NetflixBy Rahul Raut on May 11, 2019
Kareena Kapoor Khan seems in no mood to leave any stone unturned in her career. The Bollywood diva is making her mark in every possible platform with diverse roles, the latest one being as a judge of a dance based Television reality show. Before this, she hosted a Radio show which talked about the powerful women, who have broken general norms and achieved success in their respective fields. Now, the 38-years actress is soon going to tick one more box of her achievements as she is gearing up to debut in the web world.
Following the footsteps of her husband Saif Ali Khan who was among the first leading Bollywood stars to take the digital route with Netflix's Sacred Games, Kareena's web show will be produced by Karan Johar under his digital arm Dharmatic Entertainment which works round the clock to make contents specifically for the various OTT platforms. The web-series will apparently be a spin-off on Kareena's character Poo from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001).

A source informed us, "The show will be titled Poo Dairies as it tracks the journey of Kareena's iconic character post K3G. Although it's centred on Kareena's self-absorbed, sassy character, the show will also have a young actress playing a pivotal part in the narrative. It's currently being written and is expected to go on floors sometime next year only."
The source further informs that Karan Johar who helmed the 2001 multi-starrer will himself direct Kareena's portion in the Netflix web-series while another director will be brought on board to helm the rest. The new show will showcase Poo in her mid-thirties with a fun and modern take on the character and will be shot in a grand way to introduce the self-loving bimbo to a new generation of audiences.
However, before they go on the Poo route once again after the hiatus of 19 years, Karan Johar and Kareena Kapoor Khan will shoot for the ambitiousTakht. The ensemble cast historical drama goes on floors in September and is expected to arrive in cinemas later 2020.
