Thats different Zubeida from the one you previously mentioned. This one is silent movie one. The other one's story was depicted in Karishma's movie Zubeida.

Alrite..there were two Zs. You're talking about Zubeida Begum I guess. Both of them married Maharajahs.

The one you were talking about was Khalid Mohamed's mom. Rhea Pillai's grandmom was silent movie star Zubeida. One married into royalty and other was born and married into one too. I remember reading all these few years back while watching Zubeida movie.

That part is heavily confusing. I first read about Zubeida in an article in the Bong weekly "Saptahik Bartaman". There the Maharaja's name was Birendra Singh Victor. :S

Too many royals with similar sounding names I tell ya 😆 (oh by the way - Sapatahik Bartaman and Anandalok - before Rituparno (RIP) ran it to the ground were such a treasure trove of gossip)

As Deja Vu said - two Zubeida - both married royals.

Khalid's mommy is the other Zubeida

Zubeida Begum's hubby Dhanrajgir is not technically a royal - merely a banker to the Hyderabadi nizams.

Khalid's mommy's second husband was Maharaja of Jodhpur.
