He started off in an extremely small-budget film called Style but actually got noticed for his performance. Since then, he's grown tremendously as an actor and has been a part of some pretty big films: Rang De Basanti, 3 idiots, Golmaal, Life in a Metro. I personally think he's a terrific actor but somehow, he seems to always be a part of films with a multi star-cast.Do you think he would work as a solo hero or is he only a good fit for films with many actors? Why or why not?

I'm not a big fan. He does get overshadowed, but that's because of the kind of characters he's played so far, not because of his acting. I feel he's a very good actor, and given the right script, he could carry off a single hero movie!

My brother is a big fan of him, and I like him a lot too😃

He's a spunky actor who has excellent comedic timing and who has shown he can also do non-comedic roles such as Life in a Metro. But Bollywood only wants males who can be the "overall hero" types and obviously he doesn't really fit the mold. That's too bad because he is really talented.

I guess what he's doing now is similar to Riteish Deshmukh and that is trying to find a niche for himself in this narrow-minded industry.

sharman is really talented and its been proven with many of his films but its sad that he doesn't get half the hype as all the star kids who do nonsensical films.

I don't think he is over - shadowed at least not his acting .. i remember he was as much appreciated in RDB as Aamir n he stood out in 3I n Golmaal .. Infact he was noticed from his first movie itself..but yh the recognition one get from a solo hero movie is different😛 I guess even after tht makers still don't think he can manage a movie entirely on his shoulders coz he dun enjoy a huge fan base i guess🤔 He have been casted now in Ferrari ki Savari by Rajkumar Hirani .. I am guessing its a solo hero project ? .. maybe tht can give a proper platform to him if the movie turns out good.

i love this guy...therz something inherently cute and adorable abt him...and yes hes a good actor too...but i think he dosent have the charisma to succeed individually....kinda like arshad warsi...gr8 actor, cute personality.....but a little short of charisma....
