Because garnering sympathy for her loser life is more important than showing her as genuinely successful and confident person facing newer and different challenges as she progresses in life. smiley16

Again it may offend a lot of people but the target audience of the show are women and their mothers in law who will are not pleased to see woman primarily going to office on a daily basis and think that a woman's primary duty is the kitchen.

"Aurat chaand pe jaaye but chaar parathe aur ek daal aur do sabji bana kar jaaye"

Instead of watching Anupamaa in an office or a dance class or a restaurant managing things like an alpha boss lady and implying that she has finished her house chores, it is more visually pleasing for the target audience to show that she is busy in the kitchen and imply that she has finished office work, much like s€x scenes on TV, imply that they happened but they don't want to watch it executed.

Much of her online pandemic dance classes (except ghungroo smashing scene), her businesswoman tenure as Mrs Kapadia and her chef journey in S&C was shown in this way.

And then there are hormone fuelled teens who need romance in everything at all costs, even if it is problematic. The lead can be a wedding planner, a caterer, an athlete, a mountaineer, a farmer, or a politician, but after a month a romantic track will be introduced and her career will lose all of the screentime.

Those who want a boss lady need to move on to web series stuff because Indian GEC content will continue to thrive on weeping women and romantic plot lines.
