Zayed Khan reveals his son Zidaan faced a 'near-death' experience at just three years old due to THIS disease

Zayed Khan rose to fame through his performance in Main Hoon Naa, enchanting viewers with his personality and magnificent acting chops. In a recent conversation, he disclosed that his eldest son, Zidaan, suffers from respiratory problems and faced severe breathing challenges at the tender age of three. Zayed shared that his worries regarding Zidaan's health caused him to battle with depression as a father.

The Main Hoon Naa actor recently joined the YouTube channel Couple Of Things, hosted by his former co-star Amrita Rao and her husband, RJ Anmol. In that episode, they covered a range of topics, including his career, marriage, and parenting experiences.

In the discussion, it came to light that their eldest son, Zidaan Khan, has been struggling with severe respiratory issues. His condition frequently posed a serious threat to his life. Zayed Khan reminisced about a time when he took his family to London, and his three-year-old son came to him, saying he was having trouble breathing.

He shared, "We were in London when he had a particularly bad attack. He came to me and said, 'Papa, help me, I can't breathe.' My wife is very strong when it comes to dealing with medical emergencies, and she immediately called an ambulance."

When Zidaan was hospitalized, the nurse's expressions conveyed uncertainty about his survival. Nevertheless, they provided him with crucial injections. Additionally, the doctors were prepared for urgent surgery, making the tough situation hard for him to bear.

He mentioned, "We were in so much agony because there is nothing worse than the thought of losing a child. Thankfully, after a couple of hours, the steroids started working, and they didn't need to proceed with the surgery."

Zayed was deeply affected by the incident and found it heartbreaking to see his son in pain. The thought of potentially losing a child impacted him profoundly, leading to depression. However, he gradually managed to overcome it.

Despite the doctors' lack of optimism regarding his son's health, the actor refused to let the medical challenges define their lives. As a result, his son has been actively engaging in outdoor activities and enjoying a healthy lifestyle, contrary to the doctors' expectations.

Zayed Khan is the son of renowned actor Sanjay Khan and the brother of Sussanne Khan, who was previously married to Hrithik Roshan. He tied the knot with Malaika in 2005, and the couple has two sons: Zidaan, born in 2008, and Ariz, born in 2011.
