Alia Bhatt recently took to Instagram to address a viral video where influencers claimed she had undergone botched Botox, leading to a paralyzed jaw and an awkward smile. The video, which quickly spread across Instagram and other platforms, sparked a wave of speculation and criticism about the actress’s appearance.

In the video, the influencers speculated that Alia’s crooked smile and the flaunting of her dimple were due to a Botox procedure gone wrong, leading to one side of her jaw being paralyzed. This claim didn’t sit well with the actress, who came across the video and decided to address it head-on.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Alia expressed her frustration and disbelief at the baseless rumors. While she emphasized that there’s no judgment towards those who choose to have cosmetic procedures, she called out the sheer absurdity of the claims being made about her.

"Absolutely NO JUDGEMENT towards anyone who chooses cosmetic corrections or surgery—your body, your choice," Alia began in her post. "But wow, this is beyond ridiculous! To the random video floating around claiming I've had Botox gone wrong (and to the numerous clickbait articles) – I have a 'crooked smile' and a 'weird way of speaking,' according to YOU."

Alia questioned how people could so confidently make such serious claims without any proof or understanding of the situation. She went on to highlight the dangerous impact these comments can have on young, impressionable minds who might take these false accusations to heart.

"These are SERIOUS claims being casually thrown out there with zero proof, no confirmation, and absolutely nothing to back it up," she continued. "What's worse, you're influencing young, impressionable minds who might actually believe this garbage."

Alia also shed light on the broader issue of how women are constantly judged and scrutinized on the internet, not just for their appearances but also for their personal lives. She referenced how even something as personal as a baby bump, citing Deepika Padukone's experience with similar trolling, can become a target of harsh criticism.

In a strong closing statement, Alia called for an end to this culture of unnecessary judgment and emphasized the need to embrace individuality rather than tear it apart under a microscope. "Let's take a minute to address the absurd lens through which women are judged and objectified on the internet," she urged.

On the work front, Alia recently released her much-anticipated film Jigra, and is set to appear in upcoming projects Alpha alongside Sharvari Wagh, and Love & War featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. Despite the noise, Alia remains focused on her career, continuing to shine in the industry.
