WOW! And now, a Netflix series based on this character of Bahubali!

The Bahubali series put Indian Cinema out on the world map. Not only did both parts of the magnum opus do extremely well in terms of business and box office earnings, but also the actors starring in the film namely Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraj, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan and Tamannaah Bhatia, receive tremendous global recognition. And, the visual effects used in the franchise were much appreciated.

Now, a report in a leading tabloid suggests that producers Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni are in talks with Netflix to produce a multilingual web series, based specifically on the life of Sivagami Devi, the character essayed by Ramya Krishna in the movies.

Said to be based on the novel The Rise Of Sivagami', the web series will capture Sivagami Devi's life before and after she gets married into the Mahishmati kingdom and rises to power. However, who will be cast in the web series is yet to be determined.

The web series, that is set to start its shoot in August, will be filmed in a lavish set being built at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad and will be a 10 episode series in its first season.
