The whole of Bollywood and South India is keen to see Jr NTR in WAR 2. Aditya Chopra’s film that is coming in August 2025 is going to be a big budget action spectacle. Jr NTR was seen in a sit down chat with Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar as they promoted both Devara and Jigra. Jr NTR shared how working in Bollywood with WAR 2 was a different experience. He said that filmmakers down South do not believe in excessive preparation for scenes in advance. He said he belongs to the same school of thought.

It seems Ayan Mukerji is a filmmaker who prefers to see his actors prepping in advance. He wants them ready before he films his shots. When he found out that Jr NTR did not do so, he felt a sense of discomfort. It seems they had a clash with their separate thoughts on filmmaking. Jr NTR said, “Too much of prep doesn’t give you the chance to explore yourself. South Indian films (sets) have always been chaotically organised. Like, if the prints have to go tomorrow, the team will still ask for one extra hour because they want to make some changes in the edit. The clock is ticking, the prints have to be delivered, but you’re still working on the film.”

Jr NTR said down South people are chilled even if there is a big shoot or sequence happening the next day. He says while everyone knows what is happening, no one unduly stresses about it. The Devara star said that South film units find their organising strengths in this chaotic scenario and that makes artistes more ‘instinctive’.

He said Ayan Mukerji took his time to realize how Jr NTR approached his work, and how his scenes would come out. He said the filmmaker had a set image in mind, but what he saw was quite different than what he had envisioned.

It seems Jr NTR explained to Ayan Mukerji that he was very instinctive and he would definitely bring something to the table. The RRR star said, “I told him, ‘Ayan I am very instinctive, kuch na kuch aa jayega (something will come).’ Now, he is not used to do this at all, he loves prep and I am completely the opposite.”

Aditya Chopra was there when some of the scenes were filmed. He told Ayan Mukerji that he understood what Jr NTR was trying to say. Jr NTR will be seen as gang leader in Devara. The movie is about the mafia that rules the coastlines of South India.
