Farida Jalal says she predicted Aditya Chopra would ‘be the best in Bollywood’ during DDLJ shoot

Yesteryear actor Farida Jalal recently recalled her first conversation with Yash Chopra, who offered her the role of Kajol's mother in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ).

With such a long journey, the actress has countless memories of the film industry. In a recent podcast conversation with Ashoke Pandit, the veteran actress revisited the moment when Yash Chopra called to offer her the role in DDLJ. She also shared how Aditya Chopra’s work ethic, even during his debut film, left her extremely impressed.

Jalal, whose career spans over 50 years, said in the podcast that she always had faith in Chopra and collaborated with him on numerous projects.
