Viveck Vaswani opens up on friend Shah Rukh Khan's son's arrest

For the last couple of days, it has been all about megastar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan's arrest in connection with the drug bust on a cruise.

Following that, several updates have come in from the kid being questioned to being in custody and other things. However, also following that, an array of Khan's friends and closed ones from the industry have made sure to be with him during these times where the likes of Salman Khan, Malaika Arora and others visited Khan as well.

And a few who haven't visited have made sure to express their support to the the kid and the megastar through social media or otherwise. On that note, Shah Rukh Khan and actor-director Viveck Vaswani's friendship, as we know is one for the ages.

Now just like many, Vaswani has come forward to talk about this not before mentioning how they used to be very close friends before he became a superstar. He said to ETimes,  “Our paths do not mingle much because I am a teacher and my life is about my new students and he is a superstar with super responsibility. However friendship is not something that sways in the direction in which the wind blows. Friendship is a commitment and my responsibility to Shah Rukh Is sacrosanct”.

About the Aryan Khan arrest, he said, “His children are like my children, his family is like my family and that is how it is and it will always be. I will not comment on what is happening right now since I do not know the true facts of the case. However, for what it is worth, I will always be there for Aryan, Suhana, and Gauri unconditionally; that is what friendship is all about."

As someone who deals with youth on daily basis, Vaswani said, “Today I am the dean of the school of contemporary media at a prestigious academy and I have responsibilities towards many students, a lot of who are Aryan’s age. It is my duty and my responsibility to be for them with compassion with empathy with understanding and with love. We cannot condemn our young adults and students because they have their futures in front of them."
