Vicky Vidya ka woh wala video director Raaj Shandilyaa lands into trouble; gets accused of plagiarism

Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video Director Raaj Shandilyaa lands in legal trouble and gets accused of plagiarism. The director has been accused by producer Sanjay Tiwari for plagiarising Gulbanu Khan's work.

Producer Sanjay Tiwari claimed that the story of Raaj Shaadilyaa's comedy drama, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, has been copied from Gulbanu Khan's 2015 film "Sex Hai Toh Life Hai?" As per the notice, the basic idea is taken by Shandilyaa without their consent. It was registered with SWA by Gulbanu Khan in 2015 and was set to begin production.

The notice has been served to Super Cassettes Industries Private Limited (T-Series), Balaji Motion Pictures Limited, Wakaoo Films LLP, Kathavachak Films Private Limited, and AA Films Private Limited with the subject Cease and desist notice for infringement of storyline authored and owned by Mrs. Gulbanu Khan and Mr. Sanjay Tiwari.

Vicky Vidya ka woh wala video promotions are in full swing. It stars Rajkumar Rao, Tripti Dimri in lead roles. It also marks the comeback of actor Mallika Sherawat in showbiz. The movie is scheduled to release on 11th October 2024 in theatres.
