In an exclusive conversation with India Forums, Uorfi Javed shares unfiltered thoughts on her life, fame, fashion, and more. With a wardrobe full of vibrant colors, a love for independent living, and a penchant for breaking fashion norms, she offers a glimpse into her world. She was recently seen promoting her show -' Follow Karlo Yaar', a docu-series on her life which is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Q: How are you feeling after your show's release? What has changed?

Uorfi: Nothing has really changed for me yet. I'm still waiting to feel the impact. But I'm excited and happy. I really want this show to be the number one show in India.

Q: Have you been reading the reviews of your show?

Uorfi: No, I don't read reviews. Reviews are just reviews. But the response from the audience has been great. Everyone who watched it binge-watched it and loved it. Even the IMDb rating is quite good, considering it's a reality show.

Q: What was your creative process for the show? Did you have to plan what to include or exclude?

Uorfi: No, there was no specific process. This is my life, raw, unfiltered, and 100% out there. There was no elimination, no planning on what to show or not show.

When asked about choosing between money and respect, she unequivocally chose money. Similarly, when faced with the choice between fame and true love, her pick was fame—highlighting her drive to carve out a significant place in the public eye.

Living independently is another preference she holds dear, as opposed to staying with family. When it comes to the glitz and glamour of the red carpet, she admits she would prefer walking the Met Gala red carpet over an invitation to the most prestigious wedding. If given the chance to choose between making a music video with Ed Sheeran or taking a picture with Shah Rukh Khan, she didn't hesitate to choose Shah Rukh Khan, emphasizing her admiration for the Bollywood superstar.

Her passion for fashion is equally unapologetic. Although she could star in a Karan Johar movie, her true desire lies in designing clothes under her own label for a star like him. She describes her go-to outfit as comfortable loose boxers and T-shirts, or gym outfits—items she could wear for the rest of her life. However, she holds a strong aversion to skinny jeans on boys, finding them unappealing, even though she acknowledges that girls can still pull them off.

A fashion accessory she can't live without is a locket she wears 24/7, which holds more than just aesthetic value. Interestingly, despite her love for the color black, she would choose to never wear black again if it meant keeping her wardrobe vibrant and colorful. Her fashion inspiration comes from unexpected sources, like Lady Gaga, and she finds more excitement in futuristic styles over vintage ones.

When it comes to fashion rules, she admits to breaking all of them, relishing in the freedom of being herself—something she cheekily refers to as her "guilty pleasure." The biggest misconception people have about her fashion choices is not a misconception at all, according to her; it's the truth—her style is indeed "out there," and she fully embraces it.

The sensation also reflected on the impact of her reality show. While she hopes the show offers clarity to viewers, she acknowledges that not everyone will like or understand her. Criticism and trolling have been tough to handle, but she has managed to overcome those challenges, understanding that they are a part of life. The moment she felt most powerful and validated was when she signed on for the show, affirming that she was on the right path.

For those who haven't watched her show yet, she strongly urges them to do so, even if she can't express her enthusiasm with a few choice words. As for the future, she is confident that there will be a season two, and is already looking forward to it.

In this revealing conversation, Uorfi Javed remains unapologetically herself—bold in her choices, confident in her style, and ready to take on whatever comes next.
