Ganesh Chaturthi 2024: Anant Ambani donates Mukut worth Rs 15 crore to Lalbaugcha Raja

 Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant tied the knot in July 2024. This will be the couple’s first Ganesh Chaturthi after their marriage. After being in Paris for the Olympics, the two headed off to Central America for a honeymoon in Costa Rica. It seems Anant Ambani has donated a mukut worth Rs 15 crores to Lalbaugcha Raja this year. It weighs 20 kgs. The crown of the idol is getting all the attention this year. Lalbaugcha Raja is one of the richest Ganpati mandals in Mumbai. The Ambanis are known to be religious and devout as people. This year, the idol of Lalbaugcha Raja is seen in a deep maroon robe with yellow garlands. 

The first look of Lalbaugcha Raja was unveiled on September 6, 2024. A number of people had headed there to catch a glimpse of the lord. It seems the crown/mukut was crafted over two months. It is a very big gesture for the Lalbaugcha Raja committee. He has been associated with them for past 15 years. When COVID-19 hit Mumbai, he supported the patients’ welfare committee of Lalbaugcha Raja. He had donated 24 dialysis machines for them. Anant Ambani’s wedding was the Indian event of 2024.

The first functions happened in Jamnagar in Gujarat followed by a pre-wedding soiree on a cruise in Italy and France. This was followed by the main wedding at the Jio Convention Centre in Mumbai. All top Bollywood celebs had attended all these functions. Anant Ambani married Radhika Merchant after seven years of dating.

She is the daughter of Viren and Shaila Merchant of Encore Pharmaceuticals. They were school friends. Anant Ambani has also started Vantara, an animal rescue centre in Gujarat. Top music icons like Rihanna, Backstreet Boys, Luis Fonzi, Justin Bieber performed at his wedding. The event got international coverage too.
