Akshaya Tritiya is a very popular festival that the Hindus and Jains celebrate every year. This day is considered lucky and is termed as the golden day of the year because the word Akshaya means 'Eternal', the one that never diminishes.

My mother and grandmother visit the temple on Akshaya Tritiya and buy gold. Similarly, I also buy gold. Festive times are usually good and auspicious to buy things. I still remember vividly that I had bought a watch for myself seven years ago.
